Tommy nodded and answered yes.
Next, the teacher asked him if he saw the grass outside. Again, the student said yes.
“Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky,” instructed the teacher.
Tommy obliged and returned a minute later. When he arrived, he said, “Yes, I saw the sky.”

The teacher then asked, “Did you see God?” Tommy answered no.
“That’s my point. We can’t see God because he isn’t there. He doesn’t exist,” said the teacher.
The class fell silent until the six-year-old girl raised her hand and spoke up. She told the teacher that she also wanted to ask Tommy some questions. The teacher agreed, and the little girl proceeded to ask her classmate.

First, she asked him if he can see the tree outside, and Tommy said yes.
The little girl also asked if he can see the grass outside. At that point, Tommy was getting slightly annoyed with the questions and exasperatedly answered yes.
Next, she asked him if he could see the sky and he said yes.
Eventually, the little girl asked, “Tommy, do you see the teacher?”
Confused, Tommy nodded and said yes.
The little girl asked, “Do you see her brain?”
Tommy said no.
Finally, the girl replied, “Then, according to what we were taught in the school today…she must not have one!”
