Rebel Wilson seems to be dominating her "year of health," largely thanks to her personal trainer, Jono Castano. The former soccer player has been one of the leading forces behind the actress' big changes.

Wilson, 40, hopes to lose 75 kilograms, or 165 pounds by the end of the year. In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Castano, founder of Acero, shared some tips on how he hopes to help her do that.

WILSON'S TRAINER GIVES OVERVIEW OF HIS PLAN

Castano revealed that got into his career as a celebrity trainer by "sliding into people's [Instagram] DMs." When he got results with clients, word of mouth gained him bigger clients such as Wilson.

Castano feeds off the passion and drive of successful celebrities to deliver his own winning strategies. Step one, he says, is determining the current standing of a client.

Once he has done that, he assesses their limitations in terms of injury and conditions. He then moves on to his primary technique — high-intensity training.

CASTANO POINTS TO NUTRITION AS KEY FOCUS

Of course, diet and nutrition is also an essential part of the process. He said, "Nutrition is definitely a key factor. You need to be at that deficit. So, deficit is basically eating less than your total expenditure."

He advised that one should eat to satisfaction overeating to fullness. He further encouraged the intake of water amounting to about three or four liters. As for treats, be sure they fit into your calorie count goals.

In terms of regularity, Castano runs his training sessions seven days a week. However, someone who is looking for a transformation like Wilson should be looking at a five-day per week regime. He explained:

"I always think of it as the more you do, the better, but don't overdo it. So, for any type of transformation, I'd definitely recommend five times a week, with two days of recovery if possible."

WILSON'S JOURNEY BEGAN WITH AUSTRIAN TRIP

Cassano also advocates for stretching and short walks on recovery days. He further highlights the need for good sleep as well as taking multivitamins and appropriate supplements.

There are other factors of Wilson's plan. One might be the Mayr Method diet she was introduced to last year during a trip to an Austrian wellness center.

The reset plan she discovered consisted of mental health sessions, spa treatments, and keeping the gut in good form. This is done by ingesting foods that promote healthy digestion.

SHARING SOME OF HER WORKOUT SESSION

It is unclear if Wilson is using the method, but she showed off a session of a recent outdoor workout last month. The "Bridesmaid" actress looked energized as she flipped tires with the encouragement of Castano.

"Level 1,000 girl, yeah!" shouts the trainer. When Wilson finished, she pumped her fists on either side of her and lets out a victory roar. She then jogged off.

WILSON SHOWS OFF WEIGHT LOSS TO DATE

Her efforts are certainly paying off. Wilson shared a post last week showing her slimmed-down figure as she posed for a photo in front of the Hollywood Hills.

According to the Sun, Wilson's weight loss stands at over 40 pounds so far. The actress knows it is a journey, and change can only come through a lifestyle that involves hard work and determination.
