Tiny Harris Once Lost a Baby Girl Named Lelah — How the Tragedy Strengthened Her Family's Bond

Tameka "Tiny" Harris once had to go through the unimaginable pain of losing an unborn child in 2007. She was 6 months pregnant with her daughter, Lelah Amore.

While welcoming a child is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world, losing one is one of the most painful things one can ever experience.

Rapper T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris is familiar with the crippling devastation that comes with the loss of an unborn child after carrying hers for six months then losing her.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Harris' baby girl, who she had named Lelah Amore, would have been a teenager by now. Sadly, she lost her life when her mother was six months pregnant.

In an interview with Essence, Harris once opened up about how the miscarriage caused her immense pain and the impact it had on her relationship with T.I.

Speaking to the outlet, Harris shared that her doctor had told her that the sac that holds the baby had split in two from the time she was pregnant.

It was during the dark time that T.I. and Harris got closer to each other.

A PAIN THEY WILL NEVER FORGET

Although Harris was hopeful that everything would be okay, the sac had not combined even when the baby was 16 weeks old. Even then she had not lost all hope.

The day before she visited a specialist, she was told that the baby was doing good and there was nothing to worry about. Sadly, that was not the case.

The specialist could not detect a heartbeat. Harris would never get to hold her or see her grow up. She was devastated beyond measure. She told Essence:

"They came and got her because her body went cold and I wanted her back so they warmed her body again and I kept her."

T.I. AND TAMEKA'S BIG BROOD

It was during the dark time that T.I. and Harris got closer to each other. He even proposed to her for the second time then. They have been together since then although their relationship has been through a lot.

The couple welcomed their youngest child, Heiress Diana, in 2016. Together, they are raising their seven children. Harris has a daughter, Zonnique from a previous relationship. T.I. has sons Messiah and Domani and a daughter, Deyjah, from his previous relationships.
