CNN's Don Lemon Shows a Bright Smile as He Enjoys a Low-Key Date Night with Fiancé Tim Malone
Don Lemon of CNN and his fiancé Tim Malone headed out for a fun date night at a wing joint in NYC and treated themselves to some crispy and savory food. Here is a snap from their outing.
Expensive date nights are surely fun, but nothing beats the joy of heading out to a local eatery for some basic fast food. CNN anchor Don Lemon recently headed out for the same, and he was not alone.
The 54-year-old and his other half, Tim Malone, went to an NYC wing joint for some crispy goodness, and judging by the looks of it, they were not disappointed and ended up having a great time.
A SWEET DATE
In an Instagram post shared by Malone, Lemon looked relaxed in a winter-friendly avatar with a sleeveless black jacket and a matching cap. As for Malone, he donned a black jacket along with a patterned black and white mask that looked pretty cool.
In the caption, Malone mentioned that the eatery was good indeed, and the wings were extra crispy, meaty, and had sauce on the side. He also jokingly told his fans not to worry because they had worked out before the indulgence.

In the comment section, one of his fans asked what the restaurant's name was, and he graciously answered by giving the place a mention. The eatery is called "Dan and John's Wings."
The lovebirds first met in 2015 in New York.
HOW THEY GOT ENGAGED
Lemon and Malone often enjoy date nights and share snaps of their time together on Instagram. The lovebirds have been together for a long time now, and they got engaged last year.
Malone was the one to pop the question, and he did so in a super cute way. As many of the couple's fans know, the couple has two rescue dogs named Barkley and Boomer, and they played a big role in the proposal.

The furry friends wore matching dog tags that read, "Daddy will you marry papa?" Lemon shared a snap of the sweet bow-shaped tags on Instagram on April 7, 2019, saying it was a birthday present from his love and he could not say no.
THEIR LOVE STORY
The lovebirds first met in 2015 in New York. They took their time to make their relationship public and in April 2017, Malone debuted on his beau's Instagram. Just like that, the couple went public.
Talking about making things public, Lemon did not come out until 2011. In his memoir "Transparent," he revealed that he is gay and later on expressed concerns for his safety and potential ramifications for his TV career.
By coming out, he hoped people like him could get inspired and muster up the courage to show the world who they really are. Despite the fear and anxiety, it was a liberating experience for Lemon, and he hoped it would be the same for others.
