California Mother Charged with Murdering Her 3 Kids Ages 3 and 2 Years Old and 6 Months
An unbelievable tragedy involving three toddlers was recorded in California recently. The children ages 3, 2, and 6 months were allegedly murdered by their mother.
The month of April 2021 would forever remain a sad month for Erik Denton, who lost his three children to his estranged wife's unspeakable actions.
The former couple was in the heat of a custody battle for their kids—Joanna, 3, Terry, 2, and Sierra, 6 months, before the tragedy. The mother, Liliana Carrillo, was charged on April 19 with three counts of murder.

A few days earlier, she was accused of killing the children in Reseda. Stab wounds were found on the deceased kids' bodies, but the cause of death will be determined by the coroner.
In an interview from the jailhouse, the accused also admitted that she drowned the kids to protect them from their abusive father. The mother-of-three revealed that it was tumultuous.

However, to her, leaving them to suffer in the hands of Denton and a lifetime of abuse would have been a worse experience. She confessed that she misses the children and that it was not easy saying goodbye, as she was "kissing" them and "apologizing the whole time."
After the crime was committed in Reseda, Carrillo, 30, fled to Tulare. There, she intended to commit suicide by driving off a cliff before the police arrested her.

Denton maintained that his estranged wife is "extremely paranoid." Last month, he explained to a Tulare County Judge that his children's physical and mental well-being was at stake.
[Carrillo] explained that she has her regrets and is ready to spend her life behind bars.
The father-of-three had been granted physical custody of his children and would have seen them 24 hours after the gruesome murders occurred.
Many sympathized with the family. Los Angeles County district attorney George Gascon, in a statement released from his office a few days ago, said:
"Our hearts go out to the family of these children who are coping with this tremendous loss. My office has reached out to the survivors..."
In an interview, Carrillo, whose arraignment date has yet to be scheduled, explained that she has regrets and is ready to spend her life behind bars.
She was also investigated for carjacking while she fled from the Los Angeles County authorities to Tulare. However, she was not charged with any car theft.
Apart from being charged with three counts of murder, the Californian resident is charged with using a knife as a deadly and dangerous weapon on her youngest child.
It is uncertain how long she will spend in prison. Still, the Family Violence Division is prosecuting the case, and it remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division.
