Tom Selleck & Jillie Mack Used Aliases to Keep Their Wedding Secret - inside The Private Ceremony
Actor Tom Selleck and his long-term wife Jillie Mack have enjoyed a long-lasting union and thriving careers. However, rather than a talk of the town wedding, they made an unpopular choice.
Tom Selleck has the charms and thrills of an A-list actor, but the “Blue Bloods” star would probably deserve an award for being able to keep the biggest news of his life a secret without giving his fans a clue.
Most celebrities look forward to the day when they would walk down the aisle with the love of their life. Usually, this proves to be a big publicity stunt for these stars as most magazines and newspapers would feature them on their front cover, but Selleck seems not to be that type of a celebrity.

The 76-year-old and his wife Jillie Mack tied the knot in 1987, a few years after the actor’s first marriage had ended. His marriage to Mack came as a shock to the actor’s fans, who claimed they did not see it coming.
Their romance had begun a few years before the wedding, but both stars ensured to keep their big day away from the public’s eyes. The couple went as far as using aliases to ensure premium secrecy.

Selleck’s brother helped the couple to plan a secret wedding ceremony. The wedding details were kept secret that the couple used aliases like Tom Jenkins and Suzie Mark while planning the occasion.
The priest conducting the ceremony had no idea who he was at the wedding until a few moments before the event. To avoid pictures being leaked from the event, polaroid cameras were used.
The actor noted that coming to his life outside Hollywood helps him retain his sanity.

Selleck and his bride arrived at the venue in casual clothes and changed into their wedding outfits in separate rooms. The occasion was intimate and touching for the lovers who exchanged their vows in front of close family.
It was almost a month after the wedding that word got out that the famous actor had walked down the aisle the second time. After an initial denial, Selleck’s publicist confirmed the news but offered no further details.

The couple welcomed their first child together a year after their private ceremony in Lake Tahoe. After becoming a dad, Selleck took time off from his career to focus on his family, which he does not regret.
The couple has stayed together for almost four decades, and they have ensured to place their family before their careers. The couple relocated their family to a ranch in Ventura County, California, to raise their daughter away from Hollywood.

Finding the balance between work and family has been one of Selleck’s most treasured skills. The actor noted that coming to his life outside Hollywood helps him retain his sanity.
Selleck and Mack first crossed paths when she starred in the West End production of “Cats” in 1984. The actor was reportedly charmed by her performance and wanted to meet her. After their first dinner, the lovebirds realized they had butterflies for each other, and the rest they say is history.
