'The Real' Co-host Jeannie Mai Jenkins Announces Pregnancy on the Show

American television presenter Jeannie Mai Jenkins is a mom-to-be following her heartfelt pregnancy reveal recently. She shared she could not remain quiet about the exciting news any longer.

Jeannie Mai Jenkins announced her pregnancy on “The Real” broadcast on Monday, September 20, with the help of her co-hosts, Garcelle Beauvais, Loni Love, and Adrienne Houghton, who dropped hints of the news just before the big reveal.

Mai Jenkins wore an oversized white blazer that slightly covered her apparent baby bump while on the show, and her face lit up right before sharing the good news.

I AM PREGNANT!

"I can say that our 'Real' fam is growing, and it's been hard to keep all of these secrets from you guys because we've had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!" she said as she stood on her feet.

In response to the big reveal, the co-hosts rejoiced and could not stop admiring her grown belly as Mai Jenkins stood up to cradle it before taking off her blazer, giving the viewers a side view glimpse of her tummy.

Love also stood up to applaud her, and together with the ladies, they asked Mai Jenkins how she felt about revealing her pregnancy on the show. She replied:

“I think it feels surreal because this is the same home that I said so many defiant things. I always said that I would never be a mom. But I do know that you never say never.”

KEEPING IT UNDER WRAPS

The 42-year-old make-up artist is expecting her first bundle of joy with her husband, rapper Jeezy, who was born Jay Wayne Jenkins.

Mai Jenkins shared she and her spouse have been keeping her pregnancy top secret for five months but are now relieved to have finally let it be known that they will be parents for the first time together as Jeezy is already a dad to two kids.

DIFFICULT JOURNEY

Their journey to conception was not easy as the couple tried starting a family nearly a year ago but struggled to get pregnant, Mai Jenkins revealed to Women’s Health recently. She shared her exclusive maternity photos with the outlet.

The star disclosed they opted for in-vitro fertilization (IVF), which she noted as a humbling experience considering her age as she is already in her forties.

Mai Jenkins shared when she suffered a miscarriage, she wondered if she was being punished. She pondered on whether she had jinxed or cursed herself.

With the mindset of never wanting kids of her own, after her miscarriage, she had a change of heart. A change influenced by her beau, whom she wed in an intimate ceremony, as he made her reassess her life in a different perspective. She said their love is pure, honest, and safe.
