After Losing Husband to Cancer, a Woman Shares Their Incredible Love Story and Readers Are 'Wrecked'
A woman shared her story with the world, and it was beautifully heartbreaking. She lost her husband to cancer, and her account of their love touched hearts and left many in tears.
Jenn Henricksen met her husband Kyle just after she had finished high school, and their relationship took off pretty quickly. They spent all of their time together, and on their first anniversary, he popped the big question.
The two of them were young and in love, and by 2004, they were happily married. The couple always managed to find time for romance, even when life dealt them a few heavy blows.

THE GROWING FAMILY
Jenn's mother passed away suddenly a year into the couple's marriage. That's when the young wife realized she needed to make a big decision. Her baby sister needed someone to take care of her.
Jenn was the eldest sibling of six kids, and her father had passed away years ago. So, when her 5-year-old sibling needed a place to go, Jenn and Kyle stepped up to the plate. In time they decided to buy a home, and eventually, Jenn fell pregnant.
A FAMILY OF SIX
Within a few short years, they had two kids of their own. In 2015, they got another phone call that would require them to jump into action. Kyle's older brother died, and he was a single father to 14-year old Alyssa.
Consequently, Jenn and Kyle took her in as their own. In the space of a few years, Jenn and Kyle had gone from newlyweds to a family of six. Amid their ups and downs, the couple went on adventures and loved each other more and more.
THE LIFE-CHANGING PHONE CALL
In 2018, they received a phone call that changed everything. They found out that Kyle had Stage 4 Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. Jenn explained: "My world stopped. I couldn't hear anything. I couldn't breathe."
He was a healthy 36-year-old when he was diagnosed, but sadly, despite a hard 10-month fight, he passed away at the end of 2019. Jenn shared that she lost her husband of 15 years at around 9 pm and remembered the moment vividly.

KYLE'S WORDS STICK WITH HER
Jenn expressed: "The kids and I surrounded him and let him know how much we loved him; the last words he ever said to us were, 'I love you too.'" Now, Jenn's mission is to continue living a life Kyle would be proud of.
It isn't always easy, but his words stick with her. She said: "Shortly after his diagnosis, he told me, 'If I don't survive this, I want you to know I have no regrets. I have lived more in my 36 years than most people do in 80 years.'"
