Jared Leto, 50, Has Never Been Married despite His Rumored Engagement to Cameron Diaz

Actor Jared Leto’s previous relationship with Cameron Diaz sparked rumors of wedding bells, but that never happened. The "Morbius” star once criticized the concept of marriage years after his split from Diaz.

Former Hollywood couple Jared Leto and Cameron Diaz had a low-key relationship which led to speculations of an imminent wedding after the actress was spotted wearing a 15,000 ring to the 2003 Golden Globe Awards.

However, the possibility of an actual ceremony happening was improbable because the pair broke up that same year after dating for four years.

LETO & DIAZ’S BREAKUP

As for why the two broke up, there were rumors that Leto was jealous of Diaz's thriving career and that he was more interested in his band, 30 Seconds to Mars.

Regardless of what the reason was, a source from the set of "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" revealed the musician mistreated Diaz:

“He wasn’t very nice to her. They did very few things together. They seemed to live separate social lives.”

A DREAM WEDDING

Before they parted ways, Diaz revealed she was not the type to dream about her wedding day. During an interview with Independent in 2002, the starlet was asked whether she was one of the women who dreamt about her big day:

“Oh sure, especially after having done three movies in each of which I spent two weeks in a bridal gown in front of people saying ‘I do’ over and over again. It takes the joy out of it! So no, definitely not.”

MARRIAGE TO BENJI MADDEN

Even though she did not walk down the aisle with Leto, she married musician Benji Madden. The couple was first linked in May 2014, got engaged just before Christmas that year, and tied the knot in January 2015.

They welcomed their first child together, daughter Raddix in December 2019 and shared they were happy, blessed, and grateful to be parents.

THE CONCEPT OF MARRIAGE TO LETO

Meanwhile, Leto has expressed no interest in getting hitched. The Louisiana native revealed in 2010 that he found the tradition of settling down to be outdated and does not believe that it resonates with his lifestyle:

“I don’t believe in settling down. The term implies that the current path I’m on isn’t valid. It’s not always about living your life the way people have lived before you.”

LOVE LIFE

Leto also insisted that while he has been in many relationships, he preferred not to talk about his love life with the media. The now 50-year-old stated he would not be a gentleman if he were to talk about them.

The "Suicide Squad" star has been quietly dating Russian model Valery Kaufman for years. The two were spotted together hiking in Malibu in June 2020 and were photographed again that September, rocking climbing.

RELATIONSHIP WITH VALERY KAUFMAN

Kaufman, 27, has walked the runway for several designers, including Balmain, Max Mara, and Elie Saab. She is regarded as one of the top 50 models in the industry.

Kaufman grew up in Moscow and shared her childhood experience was blissful, adding she loved the city, its people, and the architectural history.

She and Leto started as friends and rarely went out on solo dates. The couple was first seen together in June 2015, shopping for groceries in New York City. They have been on and off for years.
