Poor Girl Accidentally Meets Her Carbon Copy When Cast as a Double, Decides to Do a DNA Test – Story of the Day
An aspiring young actress is picked as a double for the lead in a movie and is astounded to discover the other girl is identical to her, so they decide to do a DNA test.
Becky Darling had always had a fascination with the cinema, and by the time she was nine years old, she knew she wanted to be an actress, shine on the big screen, be a star, and walk the red carpet.
When Becky was seventeen, she unexpectedly got her break into show business, but she never imagined that her golden opportunity would turn her life and her family's upsidedown.

It all started when Backy's friend Anna spotted a call for teens to audition as extras in a new TV show, and they were also looking for a green-eyed redhead to double for the lead actress.
"You'd be perfect!" cried Anna, "And you've always wanted to be an actress. This could be your opportunity!"
Love is what makes a family, not biology.
"I don't know, Anna," said Becky, "I have no experience! What if I suck?"
Anna shook her head and said: "You know what my gran said? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You've got to try! I'll come with you if you're scared!"
Becky accepted her offer, and the next day the two girls were at the audition along with hundreds of other teens. The other hopefuls were all beautiful, and from their conversation, Becky could tell that they all had experience in acting.

She was sure she would be eliminated immediately, but Anna kept assuring her that she would be fine. Finally, it was Becky's turn, and she stepped into the room in front of the producers and the casting director.
At the sight of Becky, the casting director's mouth dropped open, and the producers started whispering together excitedly. Becky introduced herself and started reading from the scene she had been handed in the hallway, but the casting director waved a hand.
"Becky? Is that your name?" he said, "We don't need to hear anymore..." Becky felt her eyes fill with tears. She was so bad they didn't even want her to finish the reading! Then the man said: "You're hired. You'll be Jenna Marlow's double."
Becky walked out of the room in a daze. "Anna!" she gasped, hugging her friend, "I'm Jenna Marlow's double! I did it!"

Anna was grinning. "I KNEW you'd get it! You're going to be a star!"
Becky understood the producers and the casting director's amazement the next day when she met the new series' leading lade, Jenna Marlow. Looking into Jenna's face was like looking into a mirror!
Their features, coloring, even their voices were the same. They even had the same starburst of freckles over their pert noses! Backy could only ascertain that Jenna was a few centimeters taller.
"Wow!" Jenna gasped, "Are you like, my clone or something?"
Becky laughed. "Sorry, no!" she said, "But I have heard that everyone has a double somewhere, so I guess I'm yours!"

Jenna was walking around Backy. "This is so cool! I'll bet we can play some pranks on our parents!"
Becky giggled. "I know, right? I wish we'd known each other when we were kids... But I was weird looking, so maybe it wouldn't have worked."
"Are you kidding?" Jenna asked, "Just look at this!" And she showed Becky a photo of herself at age seven on her phone. Jenna had been just as weird-looking as Becky! "This was my seventh birthday...October 12..."
Becky froze. "What did you say?" she whispered, "Your birthday, I mean..."
"Oh," said Jenna, mailing, "October 12, which means I'm a Libra! What about you?"

"October 12, 2004," Becky said in a weak voice, "That's MY birthday."
"That's impossible!" gasped Jenna, "That we look alike is odd enough, but having the same birthday? That's... Something is going on!"
Over the next few hours, the two girls hatched out a plan, and they started by going for a DNA test. "We only get the results in two weeks," Jenna said, "What are we going to do in the meantime?"
"We get to know each other!" cried Becky, "And we become best friends!" Over the next two weeks, the two girls became close, spending as much time as they could in each other's company.
Then finally, the results arrived, and there it was in black-and-white: 99,9% congruence -- they were twins, with identical DNA! Jenna and Becky were determined to uncover the truth, so they arranged dinner at Becky's house and invited Jenna and her parents.

When the Marrows and the Darlings saw their daughters together, they were stunned! "How..." gasped Mrs. Darling, " How did you know..."
"We didn't, mom," Becky said, "But I think it's about time you all told us the truth!"
"I couldn't have children..." Mrs. Marrow said softly. "And I wanted one so much... Then I met Gail Darling at my doctor."
"I was pregnant with twins," Mrs. Darling explained, "But we were so poor. We knew we couldn't raise two children..."
"So we started talking," said Mrs. Marrow, "And we came up with a plan: I'd take one of the girls and raise her as my own, and Gail and her husband would be able to give the other girl a better life..."

"But you never told us!" cried Jenna, "Mom, why didn't you tell me I was adopted?"
Mrs. Marrow had tears in her eyes. "I guess I was afraid you'd prefer your real mother..."
Jenna ran to Mrs. Marrow and threw her arms around her. "Oh, mom, you ARE my real mother!" Jenna turned to Gail Darling, "It's wonderful to know you, and best of all is having a twin -- but my mom and dad are the people who loved me and raised me!"
The two families were drawn together by the girls' friendship, and two years later, Becky's dream came true when she was cast as Jenna's twin sister in a new movie! Sometimes fiction is a lot like real life!
