Tom Cruise has a track record dating some of the most prominent Hollywood actresses. His relationship with Australian actress Nicole Kidman was another fan favorite.

The former couple reportedly met at an audition for the film" Days of Thunder" in1990. Nicole Kidman was 22 then and felt a spark between her and Tom Cruise from their first handshake.

Nicole was not wrong; the connection between the Hollywood stars was so strong that they tied the knot the same year. Following their marriage, Nicole reportedly wanted to have children with Tom from the minute they tied the knot.

However, the couple struggled to have children of their own. The "Big Little Lies" alum suffered an ectopic miscarriage, where the child grew in her fallopian tubes rather than the uterus.

Understandably, Nicole felt traumatized by the experience but did not give up on her goal to become a mother. The couple adopted two children, Isabella in 1992 and Connor in 1995.

However, after eleven years of marriage, Tom and Nicole called it quits, surprising the actress and the rest of the world. But while processing her separation, the actress fell pregnant again but lost her baby. Tom cited irreconcilable differences, although many speculated that the actor's commitment to the Scientology church might have played a role.

Nicole was also never a part of the church, and in the eyes of the church, she was reportedly seen as a "suppressive person" (SP). The Scientology church also allegedly tried to separate Nicole from her children, who are avid followers like their father. The actress leads a private life, but Nicole has not been publicly seen with her children in a few years.

Connor Cruise Chose a Life outside of Acting, and Tom Cruise Is Supportive

Connor's father is one of Hollywood's most famous movie stars, but he decided to live outside Hollywood and away from the limelight. According to an interview, the 28-year-old lives in Clearwater, Florida, where Scientology is headquartered. Connor reportedly has his own home and lives in a Scientology community.

It was reportedly a big weekend for Scientology as they hosted their annual get-together, International Associates of Scientology, which Tom has attended many times. However, the source revealed it was Connor's first time.

Connor and Isabella have a tight relationship with their father, and the siblings do not address their adoptive mother as a mom. Furthermore, when the news of Nicole and Tom's divorce broke, there were speculations that the actress had abandoned her children.

But Nicole did not take those accusations lightly. The actress expressed that motherhood was a journey filled with trials and tribulations, but one thing that she has kept consistent as a mother is to give her children love no matter what.

When questioned about her relationship with Connor and Isabella, the actress said, "I am very private about that." However, she made it clear that she was not a negligent mother and was protective of her relationship with her kids.

Nicole emphasized that she would still give the world to children, but she has accepted that Connor and Isabella are adults who can make their own decisions. So, if her kids choose to be Scientologists and conform to the church's rules, Nicole expressed that all she could do was love and support them.

To most viewers, what Connor was doing was selfish, "It's bad enough killing animals for sport. But picking an endangered one makes you selfish and cruel," a commenter proclaimed.
