Mother Confesses Love to Daughter’s Boyfriend - Calls Her Daughter Later for a Conversation

A boy felt uncomfortable after his girlfriend shared his number with her mother because the older woman texted him multiple times a week. Little did he know that she would soon confess her love to him.

A 19-year-old boy took to Reddit to seek advice from netizens after a strange incident occurred. He shared that his 20-year-old girlfriend introduced him to her mother six months into their relationship.

Trying his best to impress the 48-year-old lady, the young boy talked to her nicely during their first meeting at her house. He treated her respectfully, and he chatted with her, hoping to leave a good impression.

Soon, his girlfriend shared his number with her mother. The boy was okay with it until he started receiving messages with lots of hearts. He felt it was inappropriate, so he discussed it with his girlfriend.

"She said it is her mum just being friendly, and I should have a conversation back," the boy recalled of how his girlfriend responded when he told her about her mother's messages. At that point, he did what his girlfriend said, unaware that things would soon take a strange turn.

One day, the couple was sitting together when the boy received a message from the girl's mother. She said, "I want to tell you something, although I don't think you'll like it, maybe."

Initially, the woman didn't tell him what it was. A few minutes later, she sent him a message confessing her feelings. He had been reading the chat with his girlfriend when he received a text from her mother telling him she was in love with him.

What Was the Boy's Reaction?

"My girlfriend feels physically sick at this point, and I feel beyond uncomfortable," the boy confessed in his Reddit post recounting his experience. He was shocked that his girlfriend's mother was in love with him.

He respectfully told his girlfriend's mother that he loved her daughter and he wasn't interested in anyone else. Upon reading his response, the older woman cursed the boy, saying she hated him.

Since the woman had no idea that her daughter was reading her messages on the boy's phone, she decided to turn her away from him. Once her daughter reached home later that day, the woman told her that she had spoken to the boy and thought he was not a good person. She said:

"You shouldn't go near him. He seems like those predators you find on TV."

The boy's girlfriend didn't confront her mother because she feared being kicked out of the house. Moreover, the older woman frequently bought gifts for the boy and didn't give him the option to say no. He recalled:

"I tell her I do not want it, but if I say no, she blames my girlfriend for me not taking it and goes crazy at her."

In his post, the boy revealed that his girlfriend's mother had also tried to kiss him besides expressing her love through text messages. According to him, the older woman wants him to choose between her and her daughter, but he doesn't want to date anyone except his girlfriend.
