Rachel McAdams secretly gives birth to her first child

The 39-year-old actress, Rachel McAdams, is most well-known for her roles in The Notebook and The Family Stone. She is now a mom as well.

McAdams was recently spotted about town with her boyfriend, Jamie Linder, who carried the newborn while on their way to a lunch spot. The couple had been dating since 2016.

As reported by Hollywood Pipeline, McAdams kept most of her pregnancy under wraps. The couple has been keeping a 'low profile throughout their relationship' as well.

According to E Online, details such as the date of birth or the baby's name has not yet been released, and McAdams' manager is unavailable for comment.

E-News announced her pregnancy in February 2017. It is her first pregnancy and McAdams chose to remain out of the limelight for most of it.

The media started speculation about a pregnancy in November 2017 when McAdams was spotted wearing baggy clothes at the Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

The suspicions were confirmed when she didn't attend the premiere of her latest film, Game Night, on February 21, 2018.

The secrecy about her pregnancy is not surprising, and McAdams has always preferred to keep details about her life private, especially her love life.

Even though news of her newborn spread like wildfire, McAdams hasn't released a statement or announcement as yet.

In August 2009, she said in an interview with People that "having a few [kids] would be great," and added that she looked forward to motherhood "someday."

The then 30-year-old said her mother was a role model and hoped that she would be one day possess the same qualities.

“My mom is a great inspiration to me. She’s a nurse and very nurturing and gentle. She lets me be who I am. Hopefully, I can take on those qualities and be as great as her.”
