Alicia Keys shares photos with her handsome brother. The siblings look almost identical

- Talented songbird Alicia Keys recently shared a series of heartwarming pics together with her half-brother Cole.

- Alicia is the only child of Craig Cook, an African American, and Teresa Augello, who is of Sicilian (Sciacca) and either Scottish or Irish descent.

- Her parents separated when she was only two years old and Alicia was primarily raised by her mother.

AmoMama learned from Instagram that 37-year-old artist Alicia Keys shared a series of endearing pics together with her half-brother, Cole Cook, to Instagram.

The two siblings are clearly very close and have the world of love and respect for each other.

Alicia’s parents separated when she was only two years old and her father, Craig Cook, went on to father Cole.

The star's relationship with her father suffered because of his absence in her life and the fact that it was her mother who raised her during her formative years.

According to the ‘Daily Mail’ it was only after the death of her paternal grandmother in 2006, with whom she was very close, that the singer decided to mend her relationship with her father.

She seemed very level-headed when speaking on the topic, clearly reflecting her maturity and emotional intelligence.

‘You realize what’s important when you see a person you love dearly and you’re not going to have them for long. It was important to her. And I saw [my father’s] love for her. I realized he wasn’t an evil person so I said, ‘Can we start from this point on? Can we be friends? I can start to understand you and you can start to understand me.’

Alicia’s relationship with her half-brother Cole is in stark contrast to that of her and her father's and the two siblings seem extremely close.

She’s clearly one of his greatest supporters and has, on occasion, taken to social media to indicate this, as can be seen below.

Cole has amassed quite an Instagram following of his own, with over 50 000 fans regularly being updated on his life and his work alongside brother-in-law Swizz Beatz.
