The mother of a teenager who died in a car accident discovered letters which she wrote just a month before her tragic demise.
Cindy Mathis received a set of 25 letters from her daughter, Macy. According to a Facebook post, each letter from Macy was sealed and addressed for a special occasion..
The letters were labeled for moments when "When You Need to Smile" and "When You Need to Know How Much I Love You."
The 16-year-old was involved in an accident while she was driving with her boyfriend. Just five days following the accident, she passed away in Cindy’s arms.

The distraught mother had no idea that Macy was writing her special letters, which she would find after her death.
Macy’s messages from beyond the grave was a comfort for Cindy, but she was hesitant about opening it at first. One of the first letters she found was labeled, "Open When You Miss Me."
"I’m sorry that you’re missing me. I hope that wherever you are or whatever you’re doing you’re okay. I’m probably missing you too," the letter read.
The letter further reminded the disheartened mother of how much Macy loved to stay at home because Cindy always "had good food."
Macy also wrote that she liked to stay around the house because she missed her mother when away for too long.
She ended the letter ended by thanking Cindy for everything she did for her.
Macy went through a rough childhood as she moved in and out of foster care; she even lived on the streets for some time before finding a home with Cindy.
Cindy recalled that Macy took responsibility and acted like a "second mom" around the house. She even helped Cindy raise her children of ages 15, 13, and 6.
