A video has emerged of Miami rapper, Trick Daddy flying a cheap airline. The clip comes after Trick was reported to have fallen on hard times in the past couple of years.
In an Instagram video posted by The Shade Room, a male flight passenger is heard saying “Trick Daddy is on our flight,” as he films the "I'm A Thug" rapper in the plane aisle.
The passenger also shows the airline’s safety manual and reveals that it’s “Spirit Airlines.” The particular airline is often touted for being cheap and having a bad reputation among customers.
The Shade Room shared the video some hours back with the caption:
“Would you judge a celebrity for flying Spirit Airlines?”
The post has sparked heated talks among social media users, most of whom are condemning the unidentified passenger for calling out Trick.
SUPPORT FOR TRICK
One Instagram user @iam_sun_kissed expressed support for the outed rapper, saying: “Who cares!!!! Why does it matter what flight he is on??????? I’m with Trick and save those coins.”
Others chimed in on the discussion as well:
“Nah. They human, just how I’m human. We all tryna make it somewhere in life.”- @alli_jayyyy
“So what yall going to the same place. stop telling ppl how to spend they own money. Are u buying him an American airlines ticket? Not witcho Spirit money.”- @pretty_classy101
“The only one who’s doing something wrong is the miserable man filming this”- @elsa.asghari
Also in the comments section was a person who pointed out that nothing was shocking about seeing Trick, 44, on a Spirit airline plane.
“But why is this shocking?” the user asked. “Everybody in Miami been known that Trick is broke. People that make $50k a year make more than Trick. y’all slow.”
Only last year, Trick, whose real name is Maurice Samuel Young, made headlines after he filed for the third bankruptcy in three years. He made the move to save his South Florida home from being auctioned off to the highest bidder.
According to Bossip, Trick listed his assets between $100,000 and $500,000 but said he owes between $500,001 and $1 million to various creditors. His listed assets included a house worth $417,000, $2,500 in furniture, $150 in clothing and $400 in jewelry.
Trick said he had no cash on hand, in the bank, or even investments, and at the time, had made only $17,000 the entire year.
BABY MAMA TROUBLE
The report revealed:
“The Miami rapper filed for Chapter 11 saying he’s got about $430k in assets – which sounds decent, except he's also $645k in the red! Including: $34,837 child support to one mother, $22,282 to another, $290k in back taxes, and $280k for his first mortgage.”
As of 2017, however, Trick was said to be appearing in the “Love and Hip Hop” reality series and also launched a line of seasonings.
