Little girl steals the show at Walmart, singing an amazing version of the national anthem

Everybody in the store got chills when this 10-year-old girl took the microphone from a law enforcer to give a powerful performance of the Star-Spangled Banner.

“Shop with a Cop” is a community event that takes place in the city of North Little Rock, Arkansas, aiming at the children in the community to have positive interactions with police officers to build a sense of trust with them.

The initiative consists in policemen joining underprivileged children in a fun day of Christmas shopping at the local Walmart, with the officers helping the children pick out presents for their families.

On this year’s edition of the event, a 10-year-old girl named Annie Zimmerman became the unexpected star of the day when she sang the US national anthem in a touching moment. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa

Zimmerman’s performance was caught on video and

uploaded

to Facebook by Officer Tommy Norman, and has received more than 70.000 reactions in a few days after being reproduced more than 8 million times.

Social media users were really impressed by Zimmerman’s powerful and confident young voice, and they took to the comments section of the post to share their reactions to her act.

We might be used to celebrities singing the US national anthems on big sports events in front of thousands, but thanks to social media, regular people have surprised the world several times with their heartfelt renditions of the song.

“Someone should send this to the NFL and have her sing the National Anthem for the Super Bowl,” wrote Keri Ann Belding.

“Wow! I did not expect that big, beautiful voice to come out of that little person! You did a beautiful job, sugar,” added Melissa Bass Evans.

This is not the first time when Zimmerman captures the nation’s attention, as she previously auditioned for a local talent show and the video of the audition went viral.

Because of this, Zimmerman was featured in “Good Morning America” in May 2017, where she stunned the audience on national television with her beautiful rendition of “Who’s Lovin’ You” by the Jackson 5.

We might be used to celebrities singing the US national anthems on big sports events in front of thousands, but thanks to social media, regular people have surprised the world several times with their heartfelt renditions of the song.

Take for instance this North Dakota police officer who amazed the internet with his performance of the Star-Spangled Banner enhanced by the acoustics of a closed courthouse.

The way that the structure was built carried Morgan’s voice in a way that made his presentation several times better. His rendition was so beautiful that several people said that it gave them goosebumps.
