‘Blue Bloods’ Star Vanessa Ray Is Happily Married to Musician Landon Beard

Vanessa Ray, best known as Jenny on “Suits” and Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” has been married to musician Landon Beard since 2015.

The actress began her career on stage, working in plays such as “Footloose” and “Finding Nemo: The Musical.” Soon later, between 2013 and 2016, she landed the role of CeCe Drake on “Pretty Little Liars.”

Vanessa started working on “Blue Bloods” in 2013, too. She portrayed Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan from the fourth season to the ninth one.

Vanessa Ray’s first husband

The actress married actor and director Derek James Baynham in January 2003. He is best known for his work on three Nickelodeon shows: “Ho Ho Holiday,” “Just Kidding,” and “Coppertop Flop Show.”

Unfortunately, in 2009, they got divorced. Although the reason behind their split was never publicly revealed, it is clear that they are good friends, and a 2015 tweet proves it.

Vanessa replied soon after Derek shared his tweet, but it has been deleted already:

“hahahahaha!!!! This gets me really good,” followed by the throwing kiss and the smiling face with sunglasses emoji.

The actress’ current partner

Nowadays, Vanessa is married to musician Landon Beard. The couple met in 2009 during a rehearsal. Over time, their relationship got closer, and they eventually started dating.

A video shared on YouTube in 2009 proves just how beautiful Vanessa and Landon looked at each other. In it, the pair takes the stage to sing Ryann Ferguson and Steven Jamail’s “Come with Me.”

In March 2015, she announced on social media that the couple was engaged. In an interview with Hello, the actress revealed many details of the way Landon proposed.

Vanessa said that her now-husband convinced her to go on a walk to Pier 84 on the Hudson River, one of their favorite places. Since it happened in January, it was “freezing cold.”

His one-of-a-kind proposal

While getting out with such low temperatures might seem weird, it was their idea of doing something cool as she had spent the entire morning “reading food magazines and doing nothing but surf Pinterest for cool side braids.”

Vanessa and Landon went on a walk, but she didn't know that her best friend, actress and wellness guru Kelly Sullivan, would capture the beautiful moment on camera. As the “Pretty Little Liar” star said, Landon pulled out the ring, and both of them started crying.

“Thinking about it now, I could feel his heart pounding even through the many layers of clothing we had on out there,” she added.

One of the funniest aspects of the proposal was that Landon asked Kelly to fly from Los Angeles to New York to help him and witness the special moment. She was wearing a wig and pretended to be a tourist “taking pictures during the whole thing.”

Their wedding

The couple finally tied the knot on June 14, 2015, at Condor Nest Ranch in Pala, California. Vanessa’s hair was let loose, and it matched perfectly with her two wedding dresses designed by Shareen and Carol Hannah.

Landon, on the other hand, chose a floral Dolce & Gabbana shirt, a patterned tie that he got from his father, and a slim-fit blue suit.

As E! revealed, the ceremony began with the couple singing along with their guests, who were given tambourines and shakers to follow the rhythm.

Vanessa and Landon’s fathers officiated the wedding, which had a Mexican-life style as attendees had tacos and stuffed tamales for dinner. Apart from that, Landon’s band Harbor Party performed during the event.

It was not the last time that Vanessa had to choose a wedding dress, though. For the season nine finale of “Blue Bloods,” her character Eddie Janko married Jamie Reagan (Will Estes).

With the help of Landon and Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan in the show, Vanessa picked the gown that Eddie wore in her wedding.
