The former "That girl" star, Marlo Thomas shared a sweet throwback picture with her father. The star remembered the support and guidance he had on her life.
Thomas posted a heartwarming tribute to her father with a throwback post on Facebook.
Thomas, whose show, "Free to be ...You and Me," won an Emmy, recalled the words her father used to say to her when she was younger.
On September 27, Thomas uploaded a throwback picture of her father and her on her facebook page. "Now that's a tight hug! My dad was such a loving, sweet, and caring man and so affirmative to me," she wrote.
"I remember him telling me I was the "smartest girl in the world" and I believed him because he was my dad!"
The snap captured young Thomas giving her father, Danny Thomas, a hug while the two smiled for the camera. The fans were delighted to see the sweet picture and showered them with love.
Thomas' fans swarmed the comments with positivity as they praised both Danny and Thomas for their work on and off-screen. One user wrote that Danny was an angel on earth.
"He was an angel on this earth. Look at his legacy, saving lives, fighting for children. What a man amongst men," they wrote.
The majority of the fans commented about the work for society, such as helping children. Thomas is currently following in her father's footsteps and helping the children in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which Danny established in his days.
