Diana Ross' Daughter Rhonda Brings Her Son Raif on Stage in an Adorable Photo
Rhonda Ross proudly shared a photo of her 10-year-old son, Raif introducing her on stage during her tour. "Touring becomes a family affair for us," she explains of the boy who introduced his grandmother, Diana Ross in two awards shows the past.
Entertainment runs in Rhonda Ross’s blood so it’s not a surprise that touring with her music is a family affair.
“You know what they say, “The family that plays together, stays together! ”
Raif isn’t new to the limelight. In fact, back in 2017, he upstaged his grandmother when he delivered a speech and showed off his dance moves at the American Music Awards where Diana received the Lifetime Achievement honors.

We also witnessed him hogging attention when he took the stage to introduce his grandmother at this year’s Grammy Awards before performing for her 75th birthday.
The 10-year-old impressed as he walked confidently up the steps of the intimidating platform and even joked about not being a “little guy” after Alicia Keys introduced him as one.
He expertly said his lines describing the legendary singer as “amazing” and an inspiration. Soon after, Raif became a breakout star.
"Raif is Rhonda’s only son and child with her husband, Rodney Kendrick. She recalled feeling terrified while pregnant with him, thinking he would suffer the same fate as her three previous pregnancies..."
TOURING WITH HIS MOM
That being said, Raif has been sharing the stage with his mother who is Diana’s daughter with Motown founder, Berry Gordy.
In a recent Instagram post, Rhonda revealed that her son has been touring with her and is being exposed to the behind-the-scenes of production.
“Touring becomes a family affair for us. I love that Raif gets to see what it takes to create the art that we share, writing the songs, rehearsing, sound checking, working with other musicians, as well as the actual performance,” she writes.
"I knew it. There was all of this darkness, but there was this pinpoint of light, and I thought, 'I still see it. Nothing is justifying it, but I still see it.' "
She also shares that Raif introduces her band everywhere they play and even recites poems in doing so.
“He’s a part of the hard work and learns not to take the applause for granted,” she proudly reveals.
“You know what they say, “The family that plays together, stays together!” says the 48-year-old mom to end her caption.
DARKNESS BEFORE THE LIGHT
Meanwhile, Raif is Rhonda’s only son and child with her husband, Rodney Kendrick. She recalled feeling terrified while pregnant with him, thinking he would suffer the same fate as her three previous pregnancies which resulted in miscarriages.
Rhonda hung on to her faith to get her through her fears.
"I knew, I knew, I knew that I would be a mother," she said of her fervor to keep it together. "I knew it. There was all of this darkness, but there was this pinpoint of light, and I thought, 'I still see it. Nothing is justifying it, but I still see it.' "
Eventually, Rhonda delivered a healthy baby boy who turned out to be quite a charmer.
