Gwen Stefani had a somewhat amazing first marriage, but things quickly turned sour after she realized her husband had betrayed her. However, meeting Blake Shelton was a game-changer.

Gwen Stefani has both the looks and success to make her any man's "dream girl," but finding true love seemed to have been the only missing puzzle piece. The American songwriter struggled to maintain a love life until she met her second husband, singer Blake Shelton.

Life with the "The Voice" coach has been blissful. Stefani relishes seeing her children bond with her new beau. These experiences all make her grateful despite the failure of her first marriage.

Away from her personal life, the 52-year-old enjoys a remarkable life. Stefani's career began several decades ago as a member of the group No Doubt in the '90s. However, she left the group in the early 2000s and went on to have a successful solo career.

Stefani has produced more music as a solo artist and worked as a coach on the singing competition series "The Voice" for several seasons. Her older brother, Eric, influenced Stefani's musical tastes.

Eric founded their famous No Doubt band with his close buddy, John Spence, as the lead singer. Stefani later joined the band as their second vocalist. Around this time, she began a relationship with fellow bandmate Tony Kanal.

Stefani took over as No Doubt's main singer when Spence died by suicide in 1987. For the following years, the band performed in bars across Orange County. No Doubt's self-titled first album was released in 1992 after signing to the Interscope Records label.

Unfortunately, neither critics nor the general public were impressed with the record. Also, Stefani's band and personal life suffered a few losses in the mid-90s. Her romance with Kanal eventually ended in late 1993, and her brother Eric quit the band two years later.

No Doubt became a major force in mainstream music with the release of "Tragic Kingdom" in 1995. Their unusual sound, which blended ska, punk, and pop influences, won many new fans.

The smash single "Just a Girl" helped Stefani become a fashionista and a sensation, and the album reached the top of the album charts in late 1996.

Like Madonna before her, Stefani captivated audiences with her unique sense of style, which drew inspiration from various situations and countries.

Stefani, who is known for her profoundly personal lyrics, found plenty of content in her failed romance with Kanal. The popular ballad "Don't Speak," another success from "Tragic Kingdom," reportedly inspires it.

STEFANI'S FIRST MARRIAGE

During the early years of her career, Stefani met Gavin Rossdale, Bush's lead singer. The couple met when Rossdale toured with No Doubt in 1995.

Like most love-drunk relationships, Stefani and Rossdale started on a high note. Their first date was memorable for several reasons, including their first kiss together.

After many years of dating, the couple walked down the aisle in 2002 to an astonishing 250 guests. Rossdale revealed that Stefani made him propose twice when he popped the question before saying yes.

The former flames share their three children together. Their life was a happy one before Stefani found out the big secret – she learned that her husband had been unfaithful with their children's nanny.

The betrayal never left her mind. The singer still recalls the date in her mind. In her words, "February 9. I know the date. It was the beginning of hell."

TORN TO PIECES

Stefani's heart was torn to pieces after learning of the big secret. The songwriter had to rely on her own music for therapy for months. The mom of three immersed herself in her work to cope with the pain.

Stefani discovered graphic texts between Rossdale and the nanny on the family's iPad at the time, including nude images of the nanny and their plans to meet up for sex. The adulterous relationship was exposed by another nanny who informed Stefani.

Rossdale and the family's nanny, Mindy Mann, had gone on for three years, even when Stefani was pregnant with their son Apollo. Finally, the singer decided to end their 13-year marriage.

Speaking on how she felt at the time, Stefani said, "My dreams were shattered," She continued, "all I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have."

MEETING BLAKE

A heartbreak can only be cured by a better love experience, which Stefani had when she met Blake Shelton. The couple met as judges on the popular singing show, "The Voice."

Shelton also experienced divorce from his wife Miranda Lambert in 2015 and was single. He began to forge a cute friendship with Stefani, and it was clear that a strong bond was building up.

Despite nearing her 50s, Stefani was bold and confident that she would find the right partner. Soon, sources from both camps confirmed that the rockstar and country singer were an item.

Being with Stefani has taught Shelton a lot about what true love feels like. The couple enjoys a remarkable romance and a lovely family. Their wedding was the talk of Hollywood, not just for its star power but for the purity of their vows.

Rather than a traditional vow, Shelton penned a lyric to express his emotions to his superstar wife. The song "We Can Reach The Stars" was Shelton's gift to his new bride, and it was one of the many emotional moments the couple shared.

Shelton's gesture warmed the hearts of thousands of fans, and more people got to know how deeply the couple cared about each other. Of course, the best part of their family is the bond Shelton shares with Stefani's boys.

According to the vocalist, Shelton's love for her sons greatly influenced her decision to marry him. One of the most special moments of the new family is a picture from Stefani's wedding showing her sons and her groom looking all blended and cute.

Shelton said he wanted to let the world know how much Stefani meant to him. Then, putting his feelings into words, Shelton said, "Next thing I know, I wake up, and Gwen's all I care about, and I'm wondering if she feels the same about me. She saved my life."

The country star is not the only lovestruck partner in their marriage. Stefani feels equally elated to have a man who feels protective about her and, most importantly, is a father figure to her children.
