Inside Adele's Post-divorce Relationship with Ex-husband despite Sparking New Engagement Rumors

Although any information about Simon Konecki's love life is unknown to the public, his ex-wife Adele has seemingly moved on and found love with a sports agent.

British singer Adele and Simon Konecki were married for two years and together for seven years when Adele announced their separation in April 2019. The "I Drink Wine" singer filed for divorce five months later, citing irreconcilable differences.

According to a US Weekly source, "their relationship evolved, and they became more like friends than lovers." Adele and Konecki had realized there was no longer a romantic love between them, and they were disappointed it did not work out.

At the time, People reported the divorce papers stated that the couple would determine spousal support and separation of their properties and assets in mediation. Adele had reportedly given Konecki her Los Angeles home two months before the announcement of their separation.

In March 2021, a judge signed off on their divorce. Adele and Konecki represented themselves in the case. They agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their son, Angelo and Konecki waived the right to seek spousal support.

Their relationship seemed to end amicably compared to the usually blown-out separations other Hollywood, and famous couples have to endure. Adele sang her ex-husband praise following their divorce during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Unlike other forces in the young singer's life, Konecki was stable. Adele admitted he was the most stable person in her life during that period, and still, she trusts him with her life today.

With Konecki playing such a big part in Adele's life and career, it is no wonder that they are still in each other's lives and not only when it comes to co-parenting their almost 10-year-old son.

At the 2022 Brit Awards, Adele dedicated one of her awards for Best Song of the Year for her song "Easy on Me," Best Album of the Year for her album 30, and Best Artist of the Year to Konecki and her son.

While accepting the trophy for Best Album, Adele explained the album was a journey for all three of them because it contains personal messages about their lives. Adele said while accepting the award:

"This album was all of our journey, not just mine, and I'm very proud of myself for sticking to my guns and putting out an album that was so personal to me."

The loving mother shared Angle has been kind, patient, and gracious to her over the years and during his parents' separation. The young boy features in a few of Adele's songs on 30 as she added voice notes of him talking.

A few of Adele's songs on her latest album are about her life with her son and her divorce from Konecki. "Easy on Me" is about the couple's separation and Adele asking Konecki to go "easy" on her during their break up.

It seems Konecki is supportive of his ex-wife and the very personal material she used to write her album. According to a Daily Mail source, the charity organization accepted Adele's choice to detail their heartbreaking divorce.

The source stated that Konecki prefers to live under the radar and does not share his personal life, including his marriage, with the public. Therefore, the source explained:

"He has had to resign himself to the fact that she would talk. He knew the risks going in. This is the type of artist she is, she wears her heart on her sleeve."

Besides supporting his ex-wife's songs, Konecki has been there to support her in person. In October 2021, Konecki and Angelo were in the audience of Adele's CBS special, "Adele One Night Only."

Production filmed the concert at the Griffith Observatory, and a few select guests attended, including Kris Jenner, Drake, James Corden, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossie, Lizzo, Sarah Paulson, and Gordon Ramsay.

It is beautiful that Konecki and Adele have continued supporting and including each other in their significant life events. It also looks like they will continue to work together amicably as they move on and find different partners.

However, Adele now seems happy with sports agent Rich Paul. The pair stepped out publicly for the first time in July 2021 at Game 5 of the NBA finals. However, they had allegedly been dating for a few months before then.

An insider told US Weekly that Paul and Adele know the same people, so they did not have to introduce each other to their friends, which is probably why their relationship stayed under wraps initially.

According to another insider, Adele is quite smitten with Paul as she feels she hit the jackpot with him. They are very committed and complement each other well.

The stunning songstress wore a massive Lorraine Schwartz pear-shaped diamond ring on her left hand, which had the media wondering if it was an engagement ring from Paul. So far, neither Adele nor Paul have commented on their relationship status.
