Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has broken the ice a few days after her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, announced her wish to make her the future Queen Consort. This also raised many concerns about the Queen's health from UK citizens.

Queen Elizabeth II made a groundbreaking history last week. The Queen, now 95, has spent seventy years on the throne, making her the first-ever English monarch to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

Hours before celebrating the historic moment, Queen Elizabeth referred to Prince Charles's future reign as king. The 95-year-old made it apparent in a statement that she hoped for Prince Charles's wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to become Queen Consort rather than Princess Consort, alongside the reigning king.

This news stirred mixed reactions from the royal family and fans, with many asking about the status of the Queen's health. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also shared her opinion on the matter.

PRINCE CHARLES'S SONS REACT TO THE NEWS

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, has been insistent on securing a title for his wife, while the Palace pursued the title of Princess Consort for Camilla after his succession to the throne. Finally, the Queen considered what seemed like Camilla's wish in her recent statement that read:

"And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service."

Months before Queen Elizabeth aired her hopes for the future king and his wife, Prince Charles's sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, from his first marriage to Princess Diana, had an opinion about their father's insistence.

According to historian Robert Lacey, who mentioned the growing distance between the brothers in his publication, the brothers are "sick to the back of their teeth" about Charles trying to negotiate a Queen title for Camilla.

It appears that Prince Charles has succeeded in making Camilla more acceptable, especially with the Queen, as the Queen not only wished that she be known as Queen Consort but asked the people for their support for the couple in the future.

Camilla, who married the Prince of Wales in 2005 after Charles's failed marriage to Princess Diana, has become close to the Queen.

Initially, Camilla did not have a cordial relationship with the crown. However, an insider revealed that the younger royal has "grown on" the Queen over the years, especially after taking on additional duties.

REACTIONS FROM THE ROYAL MEMBERS

Following the Queen's groundbreaking statement, the Prince of Wales shared a heartwarming reaction. As expected, the future King was thrilled by the news.

Prince Charles mentioned that he is touched by his mother's wish via a statement, adding that he and Camilla have joined forces to serve and support the throne. The statement included a congratulatory message to the Queen and an added unity message. It read:

"The year of this unprecedented Platinum Jubilee brings an opportunity for us all to come together in celebrating the service of The Queen, by whose example we will continue to be held in the years to come."

Additionally, England's future King

his wife for her continuous support, referring to the Duchess of Cornwall as his "darling wife" in the tweet.

Prince Harry, Charles's youngest son, has yet to comment on the news. However, a close pal mentioned that his silence "speaks volumes." Although Harry initially disapproved of his father's wife, the tension has since eased, and they have co-existed as adults for years.

Harry's older brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, seem to have given their consent on Camilla's future title. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge retweeted the Queen's statement via their joint Twitter page. They also liked the post on Instagram.

Prince Harry is the only one without an exact comment. However, an insider hinted that he would share more details in his memoir, as fans expect more information about the royal household following his tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Sources confirmed that Prince Charles does not expect his son to script flattering words about Camilla. Instead, he is banking on Prince William to help with damage control or remain unbiased after the publication hits the shelves.

REACTIONS FROM ROYAL FANS

After the statement's release, Bed Kingdom ran an analysis that alleged that royal fans were perplexed about the Queen's health. The claim established that online searches of "how is the Queen?" reached 1,306 percent in the UK on the same day.

This record showed that people's interest in the Queen's health climbed thirteen times higher than average. A spokesperson for the Bed Kingdom mentioned that:

"Queen Elizabeth II is perhaps the most famous figure in British history, and her words have undoubtedly made the global headlines around the world."

A few royal fans who claimed allegiance to Prince Charles's first wife, Princess Diana (the couple was married for eleven years and Diana died in 1996), did not support Camilla's future title.

A fan shared a throwback image of the deceased Diana adorned in a black dress known as "the revenge dress." She had stepped out in the outfit after Charles's admittance to infidelity in an interview following their separation in 1992. The fan added the caption:

"Sorry, Camilla, but there is only one woman that was worthy of becoming a Queen."

Another Twitter user expressed discontentment while showcasing loyalty to Prince Charles's former wife. The person shared a photo of Camilla, alongside the Queen's statement, and wrote:

"Queen Elizabeth II announces that she'd like Camilla to be known as Queen once Prince Charles becomes King, a title that had once been destined for Diana."

A few others felt that the title was an insult to Princess Diana, adding that they will never refer to Camilla with her future title. One fan opined that the couple was responsible for Princess Diana's death.

CAMILLA, THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL, REACTS

Although the Duchess of Cornwall did not immediately comment, she recently shared her views about the new development.

This happened while Camilla stepped out alone while her husband self-isolated after the Palace confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus. The Duchess visited the community kitchen Nourish Hub, where she interacted with the diners.

At the event, she was asked by a uniformed man what her thoughts were on the Queen's statement; Camilla said that she felt "very, very honored and very touched."
