Bob Saget was a popular TV personality and actor who first had a taste of true success on the sitcom "Full House," where he played the role of an iconic father, and again on "America's Funniest Home Videos."

Both shows cemented his status as a celebrity — a lifestyle that was a far cry from his initial aspirations as a doctor. The star made the walk to the altar twice in his lifetime and had three children.

The talented actor passed away unexpectedly in January 2022. Some friends and costars still have not been able to overcome the grief they felt over Saget's passing. John Stamos is one of them.

Nine months after Saget's death, Stamos mentioned that he "misses everything about" Saget and still can't believe that he's gone.

The house where Saget lived for 20 years has been on the market for quite some time. Despite it not being the place where he died, it has not yet been sold and recently took a significant price decrease.

The six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom home has been on the market for three months without a buyer and was recently reduced by $770k. The home was listed five months after Saget passed away.

The home spans 6600 square feet and the asking price has now been set at $6.99 million. Saget first bought the home in 2003 for $2.9 million after it had been newly renovated.

Saget was a beloved comedian to fans and a great friend who is missed by all those who knew him. Here are details about the life he lived, his relationships, and his tragic passing.

Bob Saget's First Marriage and Relationship with Death

Bob Saget had humor; of course, it was edgy and sometimes downright weird; however, many don't know that humor was only a way to cope with his pain.

Indeed the late comedic presenter had talent in spades, but his pain was just as vast. On May 17, 1956, Saget was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to a man who treated him like a best friend.

His father, Ben Saget, was a hardworking man who climbed the ranks — advancing from his position as a mere supermarket butcher to become the company's vice president of meat.

The man also smoked like a pipe, known to burn through two packs of camel cigarettes daily. Father and son were very close, which made it easy for Ben to influence his son with the idea of using his unusual humor as a coping mechanism for pain.

Ben went on to live until 1989, but for some reason, someone seemed to die in their family every two years. Bob lost his two sisters, four uncles, and many friends in his youth.

The tragedy got him obsessed with death and the afterlife. Here is something he once said about his coping mechanism and what encouraged it:

"What my family went through – all the tragedy and all the pain, both before and after I was born – is what created and fostered that crucial/survival gene, which revealed itself most markedly in my father and in me."

Then, at 17, he lost his virginity to a girl named Sherri Kramer. It was a memorable occasion because, in 1982, Bob married the lady.

In 1987, she got pregnant with their first child, but she delivered via c–section because she had a difficult labor.

The procedure almost cost her life because the epidural went into her bloodstream instead of her spine and caused her to flatline.

For several moments, doctors pounded her chest to resuscitate her heart, but a nurse told Bob that she had no brain activity. Fortunately, a miracle happened, and the woman revived. Six days later, both mother and child returned home. Bob said about the affair:

"We had been through hell and back. My wife and I would never be the same."

The pair had two more daughters before they eventually went their separate ways in 1997 after 15 years of marriage. Speaking about how he saw himself after the divorce, Bob said:

"At 42 years old, "I was a cliché. A divorced guy wanting to do anything but deal with his own life."

He was still a good father to his kids, but he was also drinking a little too much, and it almost cost him his life one night while he was returning from a bar with a friend.

They had both been drunk, so the other man had passed out with Bob at the wheel. The actor also blacked out at some point, and he drove up a curb just east of the 405 freeway.

Luckily, both men woke at that instant, and they realized the vehicle had tilted onto its two left wheels about to be flipped. He was lucky that he walked away with his life, but Bob did not quit drinking or doing it while driving until after he was pulled over a couple of times despite the close call.

Bob Saget's New Love and Their Last Conversation

After his first marriage ended, Saget found another potential wife in 2015. Her name is Kelly Rizzo, and they met after a mutual friend linked them up at Bob's behest. He had seen her Instagram and liked that she seemed to have things going on for her.

The mutual friend let her know she would get a message from Bob, but she hadn't expected much from it until they went out later on. She said, "And then I was like, 'Oh no, I kind of like him.' And then we got married."

He quickly fell in love with her, and by 2016 they started appearing on each other's social media pages. Then in November 2017, the two love birds announced that they were engaged on Instagram.

After revealing news of their engagement, Bob opened up about how he popped the big question. "We were watching Stranger Things on the iPad," Saget told PEOPLE Now in 2017. He added:

"And then I got up to go to the restroom, and I opened the safe and I took out a ring that I had been hiding for four days and I got on one knee."

He also added, "And she said 'What are you doing?' and she got very emotional, and so did I." The pair got married the following year and stayed that way until he passed away in 2022. Rizzo later opened up about their final conversation:

"I think I said, 'I love you dearly,' and he said, 'I love you endlessly.' I said, 'I can't wait to see you tomorrow.' And then, you know, it was just all very—it was just all love."

Bob Saget passed away in January 2022 in what was regarded as an abrupt manner; however, new details about his final hours have come to light.

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall staffer Rosalie Cocci, who usually runs errands for talent and staff at the theater, had opened up about her dealings with the late actor as he prepped for his final stand-up set on January 8, mere hours before he passed on. Cocci said:

"I did hear him say, 'I don't feel good, but I'm ready to do the show."

In a phone interview with Orange County police, Cocci revealed that the 65-year-old comedian had voiced some complaints about not feeling well hours before he died.

According to Cocci, Saget claimed he struggled with hearing issues and "long-term COVID" side effects. He had tested positive weeks before his demise, and the status did not change after his autopsy.

Cocci revealed that the actor had admitted that his body was taking time to get over covid. "He said he had been sick the night before, he said he had a sore throat, that he was happy he had lozenges for the stage," Cocci said before adding:

"Mr. Saget's soundcheck lasted a while."

His death shocked many, but Cocci probably felt that abruptness more than many. She said, "He seemed okay. He really did, and it was very surprising the next day... He came out very energetic, and in the half-an-hour I saw him, he was very much entertaining the crowd."

His death was confirmed on January 9 after the discovery his body in his Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando, Florida. He was buried five days later.

Death Details and Scene Photos

After his death, a toxicology analysis revealed that Bob's death was "the result of blunt head trauma." Illicit drugs and toxins were also ruled out.

The autopsy results showed severe fractures to the back of his head and around his eyes when he passed on. It is believed that his injury was caused by a hard object covered with something soft. Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said:

"The amount of force necessary to cause the fracture, coupled with the fact that the skin on the back of the head was still intact, led him to believe that the injury was most likely caused by 'something hard, covered by something soft.'"

It could have resulted from a fall onto the carpet or bed even though there was no blood on either. It was also believed that the injury must have happened within hours of his death.

After the autopsy findings were revealed, Bob's room was searched "to locate specific places or items in the room that could have caused the trauma found on autopsy," however, nothing came of the search.
