It took three attempts before the "Charlie's Angels" star, Jaclyn Smith, finally found true love. Although she once married a bigamist, with whom she shared two kids, the movie star is now in a loving marriage and enjoys life as a mother and grandparent.

Jaclyn Smith became a household name in 1976, following her appearance in ABC's "Charlie's Angels." Even after the show ended, she maintained her relevance by snagging on other roles in big-time movies.

Outside the entertainment industry, Smith carved a niche for herself in the business world and has confidently earned the title of a businesswoman.

The Grammy-award nominee is also a happy family woman. Although she has experienced three failed marriages, she is in a happy place with husband number four and her two kids.

Smith's first marriage was to a fellow actor, Roger Davis. The pair shared their vows in 1968, but by 1976, they became strangers again following their divorce.

Smith mentioned that Davis was a "nice man despite the fallout." The only problem was that he was not mature enough for a marriage.

One failed marriage did not deter the delectable actress from finding love again. Two years later, she became hooked on another actor, Dennis Cole, and soon, the pair married.

Before making their relationship legal, Smith refused to live with Cole. However, once they became husband and wife, she wanted the marriage to last forever. Unfortunately, it wasn't so. Smith was soaring high in her career while her husband struggled to make a name for himself.

Her success was a visible contrast, and it affected their marriage. Another issue that strained the relationship was the actress's childlessness.

Soon, the marriage gave in to the pressures, and two years after their wedding ceremony, the couple separated, divorcing in 1981.

JACLYN SMITH'S THIRD MARRIAGE MADE HER A MOTHER

Before the ink on her divorce papers dried, Smith was already another man's Mrs. She had met and worked with filmmaker Tony Richmond before divorcing Cole.

By 1981, she had garnered massive success in the entertainment industry, and all she wished for was a happy home and kids. That same year, Richmond made the "Freefall" actress his wife. However, what should have been a dream come true initially looked like a poor start.

The couple traveled to England for a honeymoon, but their room was burglarized. The thief stole precious jewelry from the actress, and while she was still recovering from the intrusion, she received another blow.

Smith discovered that Richmond had barely finalized his divorce with a former partner, and under British law, he was a bigamist.

The "Charlie's Angels" star remained optimistic about her third marriage through the unsettling events. Eventually, it lasted longer than her former marriages and produced the most adorable little people she could think of.

Smith's first taste at motherhood was in 1982 when she welcomed her son, Gaston. Three years later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Spencer Margaret.

Amid her time on TV, including playing famous roles, Smith had never felt as accomplished as she did when she became a mother.

In 2021, while celebrating her eldest child, Gaston, the "Charlie's Angels" star mentioned that his arrival made her "the happiest" woman "in the world."

Smith accompanied the post with throwback photos showing her bonding with the celebrant as a child. The mother of two has commented on how she applied herself as a parent more than once. Smith was never consumed by her career. Instead, she focused on doing the "nitty-gritty" things.

The Hollywood maven counted doing homework with her kids as essential, and she treasured the little bonding time. However, she confessed that many parents grow to realize that these nearly insignificant moments are what really matters in the future.

Smith added that her kids know how to separate the woman they see on the big screens and their mom at home. The mother-of-two expressed that whenever they see her on TV, they understand that she is working and addresses her by her full name; Jaclyn Smith.

Although her marriage to the British filmmaker collapsed in 1989 when he filed for divorce and sought spousal support, this did not get in the way of her love for their kids. Smith was unwavering in the attention she gave her children, who recognized her as a mother and not a celebrity.

She spent time doing normal things with them and vowed to prioritize her relationship with the young ones. But, simultaneously, the mother-of-two also fended off the press from her household while defending her kids.

During an interview, the reporter who marveled at Smith's lifestyle asked how she handled work and home stress. She explained that she made sure to plan. Smith added that she schedules dinner dates with her kids, and it has worked magic over the years.

While the "Freefall" star focused on her kids, she luckily found another husband, this time, her soulmate. Smith has been married to surgeon Brad Allen since 1997.

One of the reasons for their long-lasting union is their shared beliefs in the family. Thankfully, Allen is in sync with his wife's views, and he has showcased it by being an "incredible stepfather."

Smith's kids are all grown up and live decently like their mom would have expected. Gaston inherited his mother's acting genes. So far, he has featured in "The Kids Are All Right," "Anabelle," and "Chasing Mavericks."

He also has an impressive resumè as an upcoming filmmaker. Gaston has worked behind the scenes for several productions, including Netflix's "Atypical."

Gaston is also family-oriented. He is a father to little Olivia Rose. Despite this, he maintains a close relationship with his mom, who is also an impressive grandmother to his daughter.

His younger sister, Spencer Margaret, is also a happily married woman with two kids. She made her mother a grandma in 2016, following the birth of her first child, Bea.

Smith and her daughter share a close relationship. In 2015, they supported her mother's campaign. Two years later, the duo created an infant collection in honor of Bea.

The "Charlie's Angels" star shows all her grandkids affection. When she became a grandmother, Smith confessed that she was thrilled, and so far, she has been a laid-back grandparent instead of her overprotective nature.

The kids often visit, and they know where to look for candies, as their grandma always indulges them. Smith also hopes they bond by watching her films with the young lads.

As a grandmother, Smith is captivated by the experience. She described spending time with them as a memorable experience that makes one forget everything else and enjoy the moment.

Indeed, as far as her reality is concerned, Smith has done incredibly well by being a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and lastly, a seasoned entertainer.
