Actor Steven Seagal has been married four times in his lifetime. He met his first wife, Miyako Fujitani, at the Los Angeles International Airport in July 1974 during an Aikido seminar.

When Fujitani, a Japanese Aikido instructor, returned to Osaka, Seagal accompanied her as a dojo master to teach the art. Fujitani once bluntly revealed that she was not attracted to the "Under Siege" star as he was too skinny and too tall for her liking.

Fujitani even went as far as labeling Seagal, stating he looked like a "Japanese Ghost." Ironically, as time went by, she found him attractive because of his blue eyes and how he spoke, "nice and soft."

Seagal and Fujitani tied the knot in December 1974. They had two children, a son, Kentaro, who arrived in 1975, and a daughter named Ayako, born in 1979.

However, the couple divorced in 1987. Later, reports revealed that Seagal's affair with actress Kelly LeBrock led to his breakup with Fujitani.

Moreover, while still legally married to her, Seagal wed his second wife, actress Adrienne La Russa in 1984. But the union was short-lived because the pair had it annulled later that year, meaning it was possible the "Days of Our Lives," alum did not know that Seagal was still married.

In 1987, LeBrock and Seagal crossed paths when she was on a work trip in Japan. Her publicist introduced her to the screenwriter, an aspiring movie actor at the time.

Seagal was in the island country to visit his former wife, Fujitani, and their two kids while the model was shooting a 24-page feature for American Vogue.

LeBrock admitted that she had previously spoken to her future husband on the phone several times, but "I was going to blow him off."

"The Woman in Red" star eventually caved after Seagal relentlessly pursued her. She described how multi-talented he was, adding there was nothing he could not do.

"I finally said I would spend time with him and when he came to my room, I opened the door he was just standing there, six feet four inches tall, nice looking, slim, he spoke fluent Japanese and he could do acupuncture, Chiropractics, sang, played guitar and drums, and could draw," she revealed.

"There seemed to be nothing he couldn't do. He was an all-around Renaissance man, and I was instantly attracted to him," said LeBrock.

That same year the pair got married. However, early on in the relationship, Hollywood's sexiest woman learned that there would be trouble ahead. LeBrock's initial good image of her spouse would soon diminish, and her marriage would end in disaster.

In 1988, the New York native suffered a harrowing incident at the hands of Seagal that ruined their marriage which ended in divorce:

"Writing about that experience in my book has been incredibly painful, but I'm relieved the truth will finally come out."

LeBrock disclosed that she stayed in the abusive marriage because of the love for the couple's three children, daughters Arissa, Annaliza, and Dominic. Years after she divorced Seagal in 1996, the mother of three wrote a tell-all book about her daunting experience with her ex-husband.

The former couple filed for divorce after nine years of marriage, and LeBrock candidly spoke on the bitter ending in an interview with MailOnline in August 2013, saying that she became too afraid to leave the house:

"I admit, I became a hermit. When I split with Steven, the divorce was ugly."

Details of the divorce aired on TV at the time. In shielding the couple's kids from seeing it, LeBrock got rid of the TV and even relocated her brood from Los Angeles to a different neighborhood of ordinary people.

"I had no self-esteem. I hated myself. I decided to swap my old life in Beverly Hills for a new one in the country, in Santa Barbara," she said.

LeBrock added everything else frightened her; hence she decided to become a homebody, stating, "I feared everything and didn't want to leave the house." In addition, apart from being husband and wife, Seagal and LeBrock co-starred in the 1990 action movie "Hard to Kill."

In December 2021, LeBrock shared during an interview with Page Six that she pitied her former husband, dubbing him a Hollywood tragedy:

"I feel sorry for the man."

The eyebrow-raising statement from the "Weird Science" star came after several women had accused Seagal of sexual misconduct over decades.

"I think that he's just a very sad person, and he is what I would call a tragedy of Hollywood," said LeBrock. "I believe he was bullied as a child, very sickly, very weak, and I guess people who are treated that way as children end up becoming lost as they age."

She also stated, "I wish him all the best." Seagal's flourishing Hollywood career got marred by controversy for years. In 2018, two women accused him of sexual assault. The reported incidents allegedly occurred in 1993 and the other in 2002.

However, because the cases fell outside the statute limitations, no charges were brought against the "Above the Law" star. Meanwhile, eleven other women, including Hollywood stars such as Jenny McCarthy, Julianna Margulies, and Portia de Rossi, also came forward.

In addition, Seagal also has dual Serbian and Russian citizenship and is a firm supporter of the infamous Russian president, Vladimir Putin. In 2018, Russia appointed the martial artist as a special envoy for humanitarian ties to the US.

After LeBrock divorced him, she left her Hollywood career. The film icon has been residing on a ranch in California's Santa Ynez Valley since 1990 and revealed:

"I've basically been living in the wilderness of Southern California with no TV for 24 years!"

LeBrock opted for a quieter life back then and wanted to focus on raising her children away from the limelight. Moreover, she said Hollywood was not for her because she always wanted to get her nails dirty and be outdoors.

In 2021, the brunette beauty told Page Six that she wanted to get married again and stay home. LeBrock revealed she has a fulfilling life while admitting that she met someone else.

"I have met a wonderful man that I respect, and I'm in love for the first time in a very long time. And he's brilliant on top of it. He's a neurologist and one of the best in the country, and it's nice to have somebody smart to talk to," LeBrock divulged.

Meanwhile, Seagal also found love again when he met his fourth wife, Erdenetuya Batsukh. The couple wed in 2009 and welcomed their only child together, a son named Kunzang, in September of that year.

His wife, affectionately known as "Elle," is a Mongolian native, and they met in Outer Mongolia in 2002. Batsukh was Seagal's assistant for five years before they became a couple.

She is a dancer and has won numerous dancing contests, making her an elite dancer in her home country, Mongolia, excelling in ballroom dancing.

Meanwhile, Seagal's ex-wife LeBrock, took time away from work for two decades to raise her children away from Hollywood. She told People in 2017 that she found purpose in motherhood.

LeBrock said she became resilient and had reason to wake up every morning, explaining being sexy stems from experience and not necessarily being young. She said she feels sexier than ever.

After her divorce from Seagal, the "Celebrity Fit Club" star gave marriage another shot and wed retired investment banker Fred Steck in 2007, around the same period her former husband remarried.

Moreover, when LeBrock and Seagal had their youngest child together, daughter Arissa, things got out of hand in their marriage. Not long after Arissa arrived, her parents went through a nasty divorce after her first birthday in 1994.

Despite being born into a toxic environment, Arissa grew up to be a confident individual and comfortable in her own body. She became a plus-size model.

Her journey began when she was a senior in high school, turning her graduation into a fashion shoot. Thinking ahead, Arissa used the photos to bag her first modeling job. She used them as part of her portfolio and revealed they were a hit.

Arissa is also a reality star, joining the Lifetime series "Growing Up Supermodel" alongside her mother in 2017. While LeBrock fully supports her daughter in her journey, her father was not pleased about their child doing the show.

She once revealed that her estranged dad made a rare phone call to her concerning their participation in the TV series and was not happy. Arissa told TooFab:

"He did call me and tell me he thought that reality TV is a mistake and I'm making a mistake."

The show did not become a hit because viewers could not warm up to contestants who were barely famous as the network had hoped they would. The channel has remained mum on whether there would be a second season.

Since Arissa talked to her father on the phone, that was the last time they had contact for a while. She confirmed that things between them had gone from bad to worse:

"For me, I actually haven't talked to my dad in quite some time because that's just how things are with us. We don't talk a lot, unfortunately."

Notably, the model revealed that she attempted to use the show to reconcile with Seagal, but that the complete opposite happened. She does try to reach out to him off-camera.

"But, since we've been wrapping up and everything, I feel like things have drifted away a little bit more than they ever have, and we haven't been talking at all," said Arissa. The father and daughter relationship seems almost non-existent.
