Harrison Ford's three marriages led him to become a parent to five children. Four of them are sons; one was adopted in his last marriage, while one was a daughter he described most lovingly.

Some of the roles Harrison Ford is well-known for being in are "Indiana Jones" and the "Star Wars" movies. While those were quite prominent roles, one of his biggest ones that he's most proud of was becoming a father.

The star's first four children were born through his previous two marriages, and he got another chance to become a parent once more later in life with the addition of his fifth child.

Harrison's lastborn son was adopted during the actor's third and current marriage. A friend of the actor once revealed how the star dealt with becoming a father again so late in his life, saying:

“Harrison never thought he’d become a late-in-life dad, but it’s been a tremendous blessing to him.”

Harrison met his first wife, Mary Marquardt, in Wisconsin's liberal arts college, Ripon College. She was a Culinary Arts graduate while the star was working up the ladder in Hollywood.

The pair welcomed two sons during their marriage before their union ended in 1979. Harrison's second wife was Melissa Mathison, who became well-known for her Hollywood screenplay writing work.

Mathison wrote "The Black Stallion" in 1979 and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," in 1982. "E.T." got her a Best Original Screenplay nomination, and as Francis Ford Coppola's friend, she got to visit the "Apocalypse Now" set.

That's where she met and fell in love with Harrison. The couple decided to make their relationship official in 1983 when they got married before welcoming their first son four years later.

Three years after their son was born, Mathison and Harrison were blessed with a second child, this time a baby girl. In 2000, the couple went through a separation before filing for divorce four years later.

However, reports said they remained good friends. Harrison's spokesperson revealed that the pair were friendly and ended things amicably; until Mathison passed on in 2015 at age 65 after a cancer battle.

The current woman who has Harrison's heart is fellow actor Calista Flockhart. The actress found her big break in Hollywood in 1997 when she got to be the lead star in the series "Ally McBeal."

Some people might also recognize her from "Supergirl" and "Brothers & Sisters." Flockhart met and fell for Harrison in 2002 at the Golden Globes ceremony, where they clicked immediately.

At the time, Harrison was still going through his divorce from Mathison, so he and Flockhart kept their relationship under wraps. The couple finally got to be legal when they tied the knot in 2010 despite their 22-year age difference.

The actress had a son she'd adopted at birth in 2001. When she and Harrison got married, he adopted his wife's son and took him in as his own, making him a new father once again.

The "Blade Runner" star's first child is Ben Ford, born in September 1967. He took a different career route from his actor father and mother, Marquardt, by becoming a successful chef.

Ben also became an author with the release of his book of illustrated instructions for menus, "Taming the Feast." Besides being a great cook and writer, Harrison's son has also done well as a businessman who runs his restaurant.

He's also a father to his and his wife Emily's sons, Waylon and Ethan, who look like younger versions of their famous grandfather. Before becoming a chef, Marquardt's son thought he would become a baseball player but an injury cut that dream off.

Ben's younger brother is Willard Ford, welcomed in May 1969. He also took a different career path by becoming a businessman who owns Strong Sports Gym and the Ludwig Clothing Company.

Sadly, the gym had to be closed down in June 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Willard also owned the Chinatown property in Figueroa since 2000 and used it as a furniture and fashion showroom, a space for events, and his private residence.

In 2016, Harrison's son sold the Los Angeles property for $3.3 million to Indra & Co. Besides his thriving businesses and career, Willard is also a parent to two children, Guiliana and Eliel.

Malcolm Ford was born in October 1987 to Mathison and Harrison. Unlike his older siblings, he followed their father's footsteps by delving into a career in acting and the entertainment industry.

In 2004, he starred in the film "Water to Wine." Malcolm is also part of the indie band, The Dough Rollers, with whom he's produced two albums called "Gone Baby Gone" and the self-titled "The Dough Rollers."

Malcolm serves as the lead vocalist in the band he co-founded with guitarist Jack Byrne. The Dough Rollers were signed up to Third Man Records by Jack White and have been in the music scene for years.

Malcolm, unlike his father, seems to be going for a more rock star look. He sports red hair and has various tattoos on his body, including his left-hand knuckles inked with the letters "F.O.R.D."

The only girl in the family is Malcolm's sister, Georgia Ford, born in June 1990. She followed her father into acting and appeared in her debut movie "American Milkshake" in 2003 and a few others.

Harrison has proudly shared about Georgia's epilepsy diagnosis. In 2016, he revealed that she was joining him to thank the NYU Langone Medical Center's Find a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES) and also confessed:

“I admire a lot of things about her. I admire her talent, her strength. She’s my hero. I love her.”

During that 2016 appearance, Harrison gave a speech sharing how Georgia had her first seizure as a child. The incident occurred during a sleepover, and the little girl was incorrectly prescribed medicine for acute migraines.

Then Georgia had a bigger one a few years later on a Malibu beach where a Hollywood director luckily found her. Harrison tried to get help from the best Los Angeles doctors, but none of them diagnosed epilepsy.

While studying in London, Georgia had another attack, and this time her parents reached out to NYU. The actor's dear friend, Dr. Orrin Devinsky, was the one who made the correct diagnosis and the star's daughter spent the next eight years without a seizure.

Harrison's last child is Liam Flockhart, who was born in 2001. According to Closer Weekly, in 2021, Flockhart's adopted son was a full-time college student, with his parents seen helping him move into a college dorm in 2019.

Harrison and his wife moved their adopted son to Hampshire County, Massachusetts' Amherst College. In August 2021, Liam vacationed with his famous parents in Croatia.

They went sightseeing as Harrison healed from an injury he got while starring in the fifth installment of "Indiana Jones." While the actor might be a big star, he considers fatherhood one of his most outstanding achievements.

Since Flockhart was the one who adopted Liam a year before she and Harrison started dating, the star once thanked his then-girlfriend for allowing him to help raise her son. Harrison had this to say about raising Liam:

"It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of a child's growing up, which is always an endless springtime. You see the blossoming and the growing and the nurturing and the payoff."

The actor confessed how becoming a parent had made him "less self-centered." In a previous interview with the Independent, Harrison said having an age difference of 34 years between his oldest and youngest children was an asset.

Harrison [Ford] said it was his first time doing it and only did it because Liam [Flockhart], then-18, wanted to do it first...

He explained how his older children had taught him a lot and that he was a better parent now. The star also disagreed that at the age of 67, he would struggle to keep up with a nine-year-old Liam.

Harrison shared how he never dwelled on his age and just accepted at the time that he had a nine-year-old child at home. All he felt like was a parent to a child that age and not an older parent.

In June 2019, Ben shared a Father's Day image of him and his father having a barbeque. The chef thought the image metaphorically spoke volumes before sharing the lessons his father passed on, writing:

"He taught me resiliency as a young father and later helped give me the courage to pursue my dreams."

While Harrison might be ageing, 79 in 2022, he hasn't lost his adventurous side, thanks to his lastborn son. He revealed he'd gone skydiving during a June 2019 "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" appearance!

The actor partook in the activity while on vacation in New Zealand. Harrison said it was his first time doing it and only did it because Liam, then-18, wanted to do it first, and the star enjoyed it so much he wanted to be able to skydive on his own!
