Country star emotionally says goodbye to a close family member who recently passed away
The lead singer of The Cadillac Three took some time to pay tribute to his grandmother. She passed away recently but memories of her still live with her grandson.
According to Rare Country, Jaren Johnston shared an image of his grandmother and grandfather together. He posted the image with a loving caption on Instagram.
Jaren Johnston posted a photo that shows his grandmother and grandfather smiling as they sit side-by-side on a patio. It’s quite evident from the photo that the woman had a lot of love in her heart.
Johnston also confirmed it with the caption. According to the star, she was looking out for him even as he became one of the top songwriters in country music.
In the post he referred to his grandmother as ‘Mamaw.’ Part of his tribute included him thanking her for giving his baby boy, Jude, auburn hair

Johnston was born on October 4, 198. He is an American country music and rock singer and songwriter. He is the son of drummer Jerry Ray Johnston, a former member of the band Bandana.
Johnston was formerly a vocalist and guitarist in the Southern rock band American Bang. After American Bang disbanded, he and two of its other members formed a second band originally called Cadillac Black.
This band was renamed to The Cadillac Three. Johnston has co-written several singles for other artists including You Gonna Fly by Keith Urban, Southern Girl by Tim McGraw, and Tippin' Point by Dallas Smith, to name a few..
Johnston is married to Evyn Mustoe and they have one child.
