Who is John Goodman's real-life wife of 29 years?
The iconic Hollywood actor has been a lucky husband for over three decades. He recently opened up about his supportive wife.
John Goodman is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood with his famous roles in the movie The Flintstones and series Roseanne. But there is very little everyone hears about the love of his life, his wife of 29 years, Anna Elizabeth Hartzog, according to Pop Sugar.
The 65-year-old actor, who plays a loving husband in Roseanne, Dan Conner, is also an admirable husband in real life and has been married for nearly three decades.
He tied the wedding knot with Hartzog in November 1989 after proposing her on the Mississippi River that very Spring.
The special wedding was attended by close friends like Roseanne Barr and her then-fiancé, Tom Arnold, as well as ex-couple, Bruce Willis, and Demi Moore.
Goodman and Hartzog met for the first time two years back in 1987, when the famous actor was filming for his 1988 film Everybody's All-American in New Orleans. She was a fine-arts student at the University of New Orleans at the time.
In August 1990, the couple welcomed their first and only child, Molly Evangeline Goodman.
Although very little of Hartzog makes headlines, she has been one of the biggest supporters of Goodman's life and career over the years.
Earlier this year, Goodman even opened up about how he had struggled with alcoholism and revealed that he credited his wife, Hartzog, for helping him defeat his addiction.
The Emmy-winning actor revealed that his 'breaking point' came when he missed a rehearsal for the 2007 Emmys right before accepting his award.
That was when Hartzog intervened. The actor revealed, "She got me into a treatment center, and I detoxed there and decided I liked the feeling. And it's been 10 years [sober]."
