Remember Valerie Bertinelli's son? He has changed beyond recognition and looks very different now
Most people agree that being the child of two celebrities are among the best things in the world. Wolfgang Van Halen is not the exception.
He was born on March 16, 1981, and his parents are Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen. Even though they separated in 2001 due to his addiction problems, Eddie put all his efforts to include Wolfgang in the music industry.
His name was chosen after one of the most important classical composer of all times, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Apart from that, Eddie named an instrumental 316 in honor of his son on his birthday.
He also collaborated with Peavey, a company that develops and manufactures professional audio equipment, and created an entire series of guitars named after Wolfgang.
When the boy was old enough in 2007, he joined his father’s band named Van Halen, as the bassist, replacing Michael Anthony. He toured with them for the first time as an official member of it.
Eddie and Wolfgang became so popular that the Guitar World’s 2008 April issue had them on its cover, which marked the first father-son compilation.

In 2011, he fulfilled one of his dreams as a child: record an album as a bassist. The album was titled A Different Kind of Truth and he did it with his father’s band, Van Halen.
A year later, he went on tour with Tremonti and became an official member in 2013. Again, he took the role of the bassist and replaced Brian Marshall.
Eddie has always supported his son from the very first day he decided to embark in the music industry. Nowadays, he is doing his best to find his own success.
In 2015, Eddie confessed that Wolfgang was working on a solo album, but any detail has been released about it. His fans are still waiting for the release date or the announcement that it was canceled.
