Their absence was felt more as the duo are known to attend various country music award shows.

As reported in an article published by Country Music Nation, country music icons Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were absent from this year's ACM Awards despite being nominated, as they were enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas.

Fans of country music often count on McGraw and Hill to attend such shows as McGraw has raked in numerous awards since his successful single Humble and Kind. He has been an important fixture for award shows.

The couple was nominated at the awards' night for 'Vocal Duo of the Year.' This nomination was an interesting one since McGraw and Hill were the only 'unofficial' duo on the list.

The award was won by the Brothers Osborne for the second consecutive time. The award was presented before the ceremony and was not broadcast. Fans were still expecting McGraw and Hill to be present at that moment.

McGraw clarified their absence by posting a photo of himself and Hill on social media on Monday, April 16. The photo captured the couple enjoying the summer in their swimwear.

McGraw sat in the water as Hill planted a brief peck on his forehead. McGraw wrote that he was simply hanging out with his 'girl' in their favorite place in the world.

The photo was uploaded with a black and white filter and it was difficult to guess what place the couple was referring to. McGraw and Hill definitely enjoyed teasing the fans of their whereabouts.

It is possible that the duo was in the Bahamas. They own a private island at the Bahamas and have a luxurious vacation house built for their outings.

McGraw and Hill are frequently spotted enjoying their retreat on the tropical island to rest, relax and come back with rejuvenated energy to create unforgettable music.
