The ace actor who doubles as a producer and director still take out time to relax despite his very busy schedule.

Apparently, he takes time to listen to music and not only that but has few of them in his memory.


One of such songs is Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’ which the actor reeled out few words from the rap.

We gathered that ‘The Root’ caught up with him and asked him about the 28-year-old singer.

The 63-year-old surprised everyone when he didn’t just know about her but rapped a few lines from her hit song ‘Bodak Yellow’.

To show how much of a fan he is, he went ahead and imitated the singer while he rapped these words:

‘I let him get what he want/he buy me Yves Saint Laurent/and a new whip.’

You’ll agree Cardi B should be more than excited about this.


As Denzel Washington is a legendary actor who has a career that spanned over four decades.

He has four Academy Award nominations in four acting categories making him the eight-most nominated for the award.

The 63-year-old has also won three Golden Globes awards and a Tony Awards.

He is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors.


So you see why it is a big deal that he knows Cardi B and her song as well.

Denzel Washington went ahead and gave the 28-year-old a word of advice:

‘Stay true to herself. Don’t believe the hype. Keep it real, for real.’

Needless to say, Cardi B was very excited about the clip it and went on to say:

 'Wow!!!...Deff took the advice !Staying true to myself .Dont believe the hype !’
