The tennis superstar, wife and mother adds fashion designer to her list of accomplishement after recently launching her own line of clothing.

Serena Williams rocked a cool denim jacket along with see-through leggings and she’s definitely proving she could be both an accomplished tennis player and a successful fashion designer.

In a post promoting her Instagram live event for her new online shop, the 36-year-old athlete fashioned a sequined denim jacket which she revealed was part of her new fashion line she labeled Serena. Though the jacket didn’t do much to showcase her curvy torso, she made sure to highlight her toned rear and legs wearing see-through leggings.

The tennis superstar who just won another Grand Slam match, her first since giving birth to her daughter Olympia, recently launched her own clothing line known as Serena. She introduced her premiere collection two weeks ago via an Instagram post explaining her decision to venture into fashion.

“They say life is about timing. I learned this lesson at age 18, when I chose to play a light tennis schedule because I wanted to go to fashion school.

“Some criticised my decision, but I knew I had two loves—tennis and fashion—and had to find a way to make them coexist. After 15 years of false starts, and people in fashion telling me ‘no,’ it only drove me to work harder.

“As a result, I discovered what it meant to invest in myself, and I allowed that belief in myself to drive me to reach my dream.

“Today, I am proud to launch @serena, my own online shop. Never stop believing in yourself, you're worth it.”

Her 12-piece capsule which according to the star includes tennis athleisure and denim and slip dresses is now available for purchase at serenawilliams.com. And while she says her collection is geared at making women feel strong, confident and sexy, she confesses it was her nine-month-old daughter who inspired her to pursue her dream in fashion. She told Harper’s Bazaar,

“Ever since [giving birth to] Olympia I was like, ‘Okay I have a daughter, I want her to feel good about herself.

“She is strong already, so I want her to feel beautiful and I want to spread that message through the collection.”

Being a mother didn’t come easy for Serena who’s had to endure a life threatening ordeal after giving birth to Olympia. But despite this, she now reveals she’s ready to have another child.

“If I wasn't playing tennis, I'd be pregnant right now - sorry, I'm one of those women.”

Serena is proof that a woman can have it all with enough love and passion for anything she puts her heart into.
