Candace Cameron Bure devastated after sudden death of friend and actress at 38
Actress Candace Cameron Bure shared her heartfelt words on social media after learning of the death of her dear friend, author and actress Wynter Pitts.
On July 24th, Pitts suddenly passed away at the young age of 38. Her family and friends have expressed their shock over her untimely passing.
Bure is one of Pitts’ close friends who took to social media to share their thoughts about their beloved friend and colleague.
Revealing how the news devastated her, Bure wrote on Instagram, ‘I’m saddened beyond words to hear of the sudden passing of my friend Wynter Pitts.’

She wrote the lengthy caption along with a sweet photo of her and Pitts.
‘She was a kind, loving and strong woman of God and while I can trust that she is walking streets of Gold in Heaven and sitting at the feet of Jesus, my heart grieves for taking such a faithful and incredible example of a Godly woman, mother and wife and friend,’ Bure continued.
The actress said that she was grateful for the special time they spent together in June 2018, when Pitts visited her.
Bure said that she sends prayers to Pitts’ husband, Jonathan, and to their four girls – Alena, Kaitlyn, Cameron, and Olivia
The star went on to share that a friend of Pitts’ set up a GoFundMe page for the family. She asked her fans to send the family their prayers, and said that ‘any financial help is appreciated.’
Hours before Bure’s post, Pitts’ daughter, Alena – who also starred in War Room with her mother - announced the devastating news of her mother’s passing through an Instagram post.
Alena shared how her passing happened fast. She continued, ‘My heart hurts like never before. Comfort seems far. Anxiety is extremely present. It still feels like a dream that I will wake up from soon.’
She also asked her followers to pray for the family, especially to her siblings and to her dad.
Pitts was an actress and an author to numerous devotionals. Her best works include Girls Like You and You’re God’s Girl. She was also the founder of For Girls Like You magazine.
