Ahead of the 2020 ACM Awards, several new prizes have been awarded for things like Album of the Decade, Single of the Decade, and many more brand new decades-related titles which the Academy will now give once every ten years.

Country superstars like Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan can enjoy the special rewards that 20 board members, as well as the Special Awards Committee, came up with. Here's a breakdown.

ACM Song of the Decade Award

Miranda Lambert and songwriters Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin received a trophy for Song of the Decade for the single, "The House That Built Me," in a backstage presentation early last month.

According to the ACM site, factors like "success at radio, commercial media, sales and streaming, creative integrity, artistic merit, and ACM Award recognition" were all considered for the song of the decade and other awards.

Lambert, an esteemed country artist, has received the most awards from ACM thus far. "The Song That Built Me" won Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year in 2009.

ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award

Jason Aldean already received his award for Artist of the Decade since it is not really new in the lineup. He follows Marty Robbins, Loretta Lynn, Alabama, Garth Brooks, and George Strait from previous years.

The award, named after producer and former ACM host Dick Clark who passed away in 2012, was given to Aldean for his success in all areas of his craft including tours, radio and tv appearances, sales and streaming.

ACM Songwriter of the Decade Award

Rhett Akins received this award for his written works which were the most impactful among all others in country music this decade. After nominations in 2011 and 2013, Akins won Songwriter of the Year back in 2017.

His hit songs include Blake Shelton's "Boys 'Round Here," Billie Currington's "Hey Girl," Jon Pardi's "Dirt on My Boots" Dustin Lynch's "Mind Reader," and Thomas Rhett's "Life Changes."

ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Decade Award

Chris Stapleton copped the Artist-Songwriter of the Decade Award in late September at a surprise presentation done in Berry Hill Studios. Stapleton has been in the industry since 2001 and written over 170 songs.

It's earned him 10 ACM Awards. The acclaimed country artist is as talented onstage as he is behind the scenes. His work is found in films as in "Toy Story 4's" "Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy."

At the completion of their "Can't Say I Ain't Country" tour in Irvine, California, the duo Florida Georgia Line was given three awards by the ACM.

For the top-charting song "Cruise," Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley received the Single of the Decade Award. They got the Music Event of the Decade Award for doing "Meant to Be" with Bebe Rexha.

The pair won Breakout Artist for being the first to impact country music this decade. In 2012, Florida Georgia Line came out with the album "Here's to the Good Times" and have been going strong ever since.

ACM Album of the Decade Award

Country legend Luke Bryan was given the final award in the ACM Decade Awards categories for his album "Crash My Party." The surprise presentation happened during Bryan's performance at "Opry Goes Pink."

Bryan received the award alongside producer Jeff Stevens and Capitol Records Nashville. The 2013 album broke records by having six #1 singles including "Play It Again," "Roller Coaster," and "I See You."

Bryan was emotional when he received the award earlier this week, but he made a special effort to credit his producers by bringing them up on stage and thanking them.

Miranda Lambert speaks on upcoming CMA Awards

Meanwhile, country artists like Miranda Lambert are already voicing their opinion on future winners for the upcoming CMA Awards which will take place on November 13.

Lambert chimed in via Instagram and voted for her CMA Entertainer of the Year. She praised nominees Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban.

However, Lambert believes that Underwood has all the keys to take home the award this year. She wrote a lengthy caption reasoning out why Underwood should win alongside a sweet picture of them performing together.
