Lucas Black's Wife Is Maggie O'Brien – They Share Three Children

From his portrayal of Special Agent Christopher LaSalle in "NCIS: New Orleans" to his role as Sean Boswell in the "Fast & Furious" franchise, Lucas Black captivates audiences. Off-screen, he cherishes his role as a doting husband to Maggie O'Brien and a devoted father to their three children.

Lucas Black is an actor who has been married to Maggie O'Brien since 2010. She was a lawyer when they started dating back in the mid-2000s, and they have since welcomed three children.

His wife plays a significant role in their family dynamics as she has taken on the responsibility of their children's education. She also works with her husband by overseeing his contract negotiations.

"When you home school, you can talk about Jesus in the classroom! My wife is a good teacher! She makes learning English so fun I want to be in her class. I'm proud of my wife."

In the accompanying video taken inside the mother of three's classroom, she explains grammar rules by using religious examples. The "Tokyo Drift" actor concluded his message by writing, "She is a mighty warrior!!!"

The Couple Have Been Seen Together at Public Events

One of the couple's earliest appearances at an industry event was at the world premiere of "Jarhead" in October 2005. The actor starred opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx in the award-winning war drama.

O'Brien coyly smiles in a photo of her beau holding her hand forward to display her ring. She wore comfortable bellbottom blue jeans with a velvet lace-edged camisole, while he looked equally casual in a camouflage cap and plain T-shirt that hugged his biceps.

A few months later, the teacher dressed in a strapless white sundress to support her man's star-turn in "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" at the June 2006 Los Angeles premiere at Universal Studios.

The perpetually smiling pair light up every red carpet they stroll onto, like the "Get Low" premiere after party during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2009.

The couple embarked on a DIY project together in mid-2022 that "strengthened" their relationship.

O'Brien donned a draped orange dress with pockets while the actor broke away from his casual persona in a sharp black suit. The teacher's ring hand was again front and center as they posed for a photo at the world premiere of "Legion" in January 2010.

O'Brien laughed heartedly with her husband on the red carpet at the premiere of "42" at Hollywood's iconic Chinese Theatre in April 2013. The late Chadwick Boseman led the Jackie Robinson biopic where Black portrayed Pee Wee Reese.

The home school educator, who wore a black and white sleeveless dress, traded her soft beachy blonde locks for dramatic loose brunette curls with thick bangs at the event.

Lucas Often Shares His Wife's Pictures with Warm Words

"What a wonder mother [my wife] is to our children," Black captioned a 2023 Mother's Day post. The tribute contains a carousel of O'Brien with her family and a clip of the "F9: The Fast Saga" actor operating the makeshift outdoor kitchen. He wrote:

"She fears the Lord and raises our children up to know the love of Jesus! We are celebrating her and honoring her today with her favorite meal… chicken wings. Oh yea… she is one hot momma!!"

Black loves doing things with his wife. The couple embarked on a DIY project together in mid-2022 that "strengthened" their relationship "in many ways."

O'Brien and Black installed 125 square feet of stucco around the back of their outside deck wall. The "Seven Days in Utopia" star wrote:

"I'm grateful for the times we get to spend together. God continues to work in our lives, and we are committed to growing our relationship with Him and each other."

The first photo of the star's Mother's Day tribute in May 2021 is of their daughter looking into the camera, grinning with tears "because of the encouragement momma was giving her," Black explained as her mother kissed her cheek.

The actor lauded his wife for being a strong and courageous leader, "She speaks words of life, uplifting our children daily. She teaches them the Truth with enthusiasm and zeal. She pours love into our children." He added:

"They trust her because she communicates respect, care, and value to them. Her smile is infectious, and our children gravitate to her joy. She speaks wisdom, guiding them to a bright future. I thank God for my wife, the mother of our children."

As much as the actor enjoys celebrating his wife's birthday, he is pleased to do so when it coincides with a trip to the famous Pebble Beach golf course in California, as it did in October 2021. He also thanked God for bringing them together.

Lucas and Maggie Share 3 Children and Spend Time Together

Two days into the New Year in 2021, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Black shared a photo of a candlelight family dinner, writing that the "Truth of God's word" was revealed to him in a profound way the previous year:

"Our Christian values were talked about more in our family conversations this year. The why behind what we do was reminded to us this year. We will be stronger for it and can't wait to see what God was preparing us for in the future!"

Black and his wife are raising their three children in their Christian conviction. Most family outings the actor shares with his family revolve around faith-based activities.

Lucas Black posted about their "awesome" Easter celebration in April 2021, grateful to attend the Easter service in person again with the loosening of the pandemic regulations.
