"S.W.A.T." star Shemar Moore bought a gorgeous mansion in Los Angeles in 2020. It was love at first sight for the actor but he needed the seal of approval from a special person in his life before buying it.

Being the doting son he was, he wanted his mother to see the property before making a final decision. When she walked in and took a look around, Moore immediately got the green light.

In an interview with People, the "Criminal Minds" star said his mother loved the sprawling 9,000-square-foot home. He also revealed how emotional her reaction was.

"She looked around, and then she said, 'This is my son's home. I'm proud of you, Boo. And I hope it gives you a great life.'"

That is why his mansion comes alive with personal artwork and lots of colors. Moore said it is not the same without his mother, but he will make it his home.

"My house is beautiful, but it's empty without her. There's always going to be that void."

Moore does not like white walls and all-white furniture. An all-white home makes him feel like he is at the dentist's office, so he repainted the walls to give his home a cozy feel.

The actor is looking forward to entertaining friends at home. Moore has always thought of himself as an undercover rockstar, and now, he had got the rock star home.

Moore completely transformed the home that came with white walls and an ultra-modern look without the warm tones. He bought the Sherman Oaks community property for $5.8 million.

The luxurious mansion boasts a total of seven bedrooms and seven full and two half bathrooms. Other amenities include a zero-edge pool, half-court basketball court, outdoor fireplace, kitchen, and a movie theater.
