Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has recently passed away at the advanced age of 99, leaving behind a rich and fulfilling legacy that several important figures have praised.

Some of those figures, such as former U.S President Barack Obama and current U.S President Joe Biden, didn't take long to honor the memory of the late Royal.

According to Obama, who shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram hours following the tragic news, he didn't know what to expect prior to meeting Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth for the very first time.

HE WAS VERY WELCOMING

However, the 59-year-old recalled how at ease the late Duke made them feel, mostly through his grace, generosity, sharp wit, warmth, and "unfailing good humor."

Jane Seymour recalled how down-to-earth he was and how easy it was talking to him.

Obama reflected on how Prince Philip managed to provide steady leadership and guiding wisdom throughout the years, supporting the Queen and serving his country. He added:

"He also found a way to lead without demanding the spotlight — serving in combat in World War II, commanding a frigate in the Royal Navy."

A LEGACY THAT SHALL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

Biden, who has been the United States President for four months now, claimed that the Duke's legacy "will live on not only through his family, but in all the charitable endeavors he shaped."

The 78-year-old concluded his tribute by saying that he and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, will be keeping Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the Royal Family in their hearts during this difficult time.

A MAN OF THE PEOPLE

Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, also took the time to remember the late Royal as a man of great purpose and conviction, as well as someone "who was motivated by a sense of duty to others."

But political figures weren't the only ones who paid tribute to Prince Philip. Catherine Zeta-Jones honored His Royal Highness by sharing an old photo of her late father-in-law Kirk Douglas with Prince Philip.

Actress Jane Seymour also graced her fans with a photo of a young Duke of Edinburgh, recalling how down-to-earth he was and how easy it was talking to him, especially about TV morning shows, which fascinated him.
