Daniel Craig joins the list of wealthy people whose kids will not inherit their fortune. He believes leaving massive amounts of money for his two daughters would be "distasteful."

Having absurdly wealthy parents has many perks, especially when they leave their kids a hefty inheritance. "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig has different plans for his two daughters, though.

Craig's eldest child, Ella, and his youngest, whose name has not been officially disclosed, are not expected to inherit millions from his father because it goes against his philosophy. Read on and see what Craig's thinking is toward inheritances.

MEET CRAIG'S FIRST WIFE AND MOM TO HIS DAUGHTER ELLA

Born in March 1968, Craig's career has attracted a lot of attention since the mid-2000s when he started playing secret agent James Bond in the eponymous film series.

Some of his relationships have made headlines even though he likes to keep the details of his love life private. His short-lived marriage to Scottish actress Fiona Loudon is one of them.

Apart from her highly-publicized relationship with Craig, Loudon is best known for working on famous theater productions in London. The former couple met in 1991 and started dating right away.

They welcomed a daughter, Ella, and tied the knot in 1992 when they were 23 years old. Unfortunately, Craig and Loudon divorced in 1994. She didn't marry again and raised Ella as a single mother in London.

Craig eventually revealed he was too young to marry and didn't handle the marriage maturely enough. Still, he didn't regret their relationship because it resulted in Ella. He said being a parent was the "most wonderful thing" that could happen to anyone.

After leaving Loudon, Craig dated German actress Heike Makatsch for seven years. While they seemingly had it all, their work commitments kept them apart for too long, and they couldn't make their relationship work.

In 2005, Craig met and began dating producer Satsuki Mitchell, who helped him deal with fame after landing the role of James Bond in 2006. He proposed in 2007, but they never tied the knot. More on the demise of their relationship later.

ELLA IS FOLLOWING IN HER PARENTS ' FOOTSTEPS

The saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" is valid for Ella. Like her parents, she is an actress and already has two credits under her belt: 2017's short film "Maneater" and 2018's drama "Trauma Is a Time Machine."

Ella will appear in a few films soon, including "The Vizitant" and "Can't Let It Go." She has also worked in stage productions for Shakespeare & Company, including Macbeth and Cymbeline.

The young actress spent her childhood away from the spotlight in London. When she turned 17, she moved to a boarding school in Massachusetts. Following her graduation, she studied acting at New York University.

Ella didn't complete her college education, though, as she dropped out after only one year. She confessed her head was not "in the right place" during her time at NYU, especially because she suffered from depression.

In September 2021, Ella joined Craig at the red-carpet event of the "No Time To Die" premiere in London with a show-stopper outfit perfect for the occasion.

The young actress looked like a secret agent with her relaxed bootcut pants and shiny black suit that covered her white silk shirt. She styled her hair in a tight ponytail and wore stunning accessories.

CRAIG'S RELATIONSHIP AND CHILD WITH RACHEL WEISZ

Coming back to Craig's dating history, he worked opposite English actress Rachel Weisz in 2011's "Dream House." Weisz and Craig were old friends – they studied at National Theater Studio together in the 1990s.

After they finished filming the movie, Weisz broke up with director Darren Aronofsky (the father of her son, Henry), and Craig called off his engagement to Satsuki.

In June 2011, Craig and Weisz announced they married in an intimate ceremony in New York. Only four people made the guest list: Ella, Henry, and two friends who acted as witnesses.

As expected, they have kept the details of their relationship away from the limelight. In April 2018, they announced they were expecting their first child together, a daughter born later that year.

They have not publicly disclosed their child's name, but Ella apparently revealed it on social media by accident. In December 2020, Ella shared a gingerbread house photo on her Instagram Stories.

The house's roof was decorated with the family names: Daniel, Rachel, Ella, Henry, and Grace. Since then, Craig and Weisz's fans are sure Grace is the name of their youngest daughter.

CRAIG'S CHILDREN WON'T INHERIT HIS MONEY

The "James Bond" star has had a prolific acting career. He reportedly pocketed $25 million for "No Time To Die" and close to $100 million to appear in the two upcoming "Knives Out" sequels.

Although he loves parenting, his kids will not receive his hefty fortune. Craig opened up on his philosophy on inheritance in August 2021 and revealed he didn't want to have much money left for his children when he passed away. He said:

"Isn't there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you've failed? I think [Scottish-born US industrialist] Andrew Carnegie gave away what in today's money would be about $11 billion."

Craig added that leaving heirs vast amounts of money was "distasteful," so he plans to "get rid of it or give it away" before his time comes. It is essential to point out that Craig is not the only celebrity who made a similar decision.

Music legend Sir Elton John shares two sons with David Furnish. Although he wants to leave them in a "sound financial state," he said giving them a "silver spoon" was terrible. Microsoft founder Bill Gates, one of the wealthiest men alive, revealed his kids would only receive a "minuscule portion" of his fortune.
