  • King Charles III and his younger sister, Princess Anne, arrived to be by their mother, Queen Elizabeth II's side, before her death.

  • Queen Consort Camilla was horrified by Prince William's behavior towards her husband, the King.

  • Royal authors claimed that Camilla described the Prince as someone with a bad temper.

According to People magazine, King Charles III and his sister, Princess Anne, the late Queen's eldest children, managed to arrive in time before she passed on. The publication claimed the two were already in Scotland when the late monarch died at Balmoral Castle.

The siblings were in the country carrying out events earlier in the week, including a joint visit to the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering. The magazine believed that the King was probably accompanied by his wife, Duchess Camilla.

The Queen died on September 8, 2022, at her Scottish residence. The person who took over the British monarch was the late monarch's oldest child and son, officially proclaimed King on the Saturday following his mother's death.

The event was held at London's St James's Palace in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council. Of his four names, Charles Philip Arthur George, Camilla's husband settled on his first one.

Some time ago, Queen Elizabeth II marked a remarkable history in her rule by being the longest English monarch. The Queen spent more than seventy years on the throne, and to honor her Platinum Jubilee, she released a statement that stirred reactions among royal fans and the family.

Queen Elizabeth II mentioned her hopes for her son, King Charles, who succeeded her. In the message, the Crown added that his wife, Camilla, would have the title "Queen Consort," stating:

"[...]; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service."

King Charles was delighted with the message about his wife, Camilla. When asked during her outing to a community kitchen, Nourish Hub, how she felt, the Duchess responded with a smiling face and said:

Following the Queen's decision, not everybody in the Royal Family responded similarly. The King's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry reacted differently. Here is a highlight of their relationship with the future Queen Consort.

The Queen Consort Title Was "Driving a Wedge" in the Royal Family

Royal author Christopher Anderson has expressed his observations about the effect of the Queen's statement on her household. He claimed the decision was "driving a wedge" among the royals, especially King Charles's sons, stating:

"I can tell you right now that the boys were completely blindsided by this."

The author alleged that following the death of Prince Philip in 2021, King Charles passionately pursued the title for his wife. He said: "Charles just wore her down on this too."

Anderson continued, "I also think that since the death of Prince Philip, Charles has stepped up his effort to make it clear to the Queen that he too needs [a partner]. If he's going to reign, he's going to need the support, the kind of support that she got from [her husband]."

While the Queen's decision stirred mixed reactions, a few people were shocked because she never got along with Camilla, whom her son married in 2005. His Majesty was formerly married to Princess Diana, the mother of his two sons, who died untimely after their divorce.

Sources claimed that the late Queen disapproved of Camilla at first. However, their relationship became more cordial as her mother-in-law recognized that she had stepped up to her responsibilities.

When Camilla got to know her husband's sons, she realized something that shocked her about one of them. One of the sons' interactions with the King ended with him showing a side to the Prince that she didn't know.

Settling as a second wife to King Charles came with many duties, including her involvement with different charities and organizations. Internally, Camilla also had to relate with the older boys — William and Harry, which have been successful over the years.

It had allowed her to understand their behaviors, and one shocking thing the Duchess realized following her marriage to their father was William's hot temper. Although the world sees the Prince and his wife, Princess Kate, as the meek and less controversial of the royals, the Duchess of Cornwall claimed that William could throw a fit when roused.

In his book "Battle of Brothers," Robert Lacey explained that Camilla blurted her observation to family friends, using the words "The boy's got a temper!" According to the author, the Queen Consort witnessed several episodes between her husband and William,

His Majesty's wife noted how Kate's husband often raised his voice to be heard. Lacey's words from his book expressed how the arguments between father and son would go, saying:

"The rows have been earth-shattering by Camilla's account, with William doing the shouting and Charles submitting meekly on the receiving end."

Despite being the new monarch, experts believed that King Charles, who had waited for decades to rule, may abdicate the throne for his son, William. The same researchers had once claimed that the late Queen would lead her entire life.

They had speculated that the late monarch would never give up the throne. The researchers suggested that her son would reign for lesser years and may choose to invite the Parliament to hand William the throne.

William's brother, Harry, gave up on his royal duties in early 2020 after releasing a joint statement with his wife, Duchess Meghan. The couple explained at the time that they would prefer life as non-royals.

Other Reports and Other Claims about Camilla's New Title

Some sources alleged that even though the brothers were not consulted before their father's wife was made the future Queen Consort; they approved of it. According to these reports, William fully supported Camilla's new title.

Kate's husband also allegedly supported Camilla's marriage to his father. The Prince of Wales, formerly the Duke of Cambridge, has a seemingly perfect relationship with his father.

He also maintains a blended relationship with his stepmother and respects the Queen's desires, culminating in his reactions. A Vanity Fair source elaborated on the matter, stating:

"His relationship with the Prince of Wales is better than it ever has been.[...] He also respects his grandmother and her judgment more than anything in the world. If it is right for her, it will be right for him."

While William and his wife showed their support by retweeting his grandmother's statement, Harry remained silent on the subject. However, body language experts revealed that Harry was also cordial with Camilla.

Reports said the Duke of Sussex was not worried about the Queen's decision. Although both brothers struggled to share a relationship with their father's wife for a long time, they've since become a blended family as they mature.

Thus, Harry's muteness was said not to be a marker of disapproval, as many would believe. Speaking to Marie Claire, Darren Stanton, a body language expert, claimed:

"Their non-verbal communication towards Camilla signifies a strong bond, and it's clear they definitely approve of her relationship with their father Charles, with both William and Harry showing genuine emotion towards her."

Stanton also disclosed that King Charles III and his beloved partner built a better relationship following the family's acceptance. He also noted how the couple appeared genuinely happy in public.
