Justin and Chrishell Hartley recently suffered a tragic loss when they lost their beloved pet to unexpected health complications.

According to Soap Hub, Chrishell took to social media to express her sorrow about losing their beloved pet to kidney failure.

The couple’s pet was a dog named Memphis, who was adopted by the pair when he was 11 years old. Chrishell and Justin fell in love with him at first sight.

While sharing the news with her fans, Chrishell wrote that ‘His poor kidneys gave out and we are left with the love and memories he gave us in such a short time.’

Fans of the star couple also expressed their love and support by sending prayers and condolences on the couple’s loss.

Chrishell is known for being a pet advocate for a long time, as she has been encouraging people who want to have pets to adopt rather than shop.

In 2016, Justin and Chrishell rescued two beautiful dogs by adopting them from the Burbank Animal Shelter, according to CBS Soaps In Depth.

The actress shared the news on Twitter by posting a photo of herself and Justin, each of them holding one dog. ‘Rescuing two pups out of a cage they’ve been in for seven months is the best feeling in the world,' she captioned

One of the dogs was Memphis and the other was named Gracie. Chrishell explained that the two dogs had medical issues at the time and had to be adopted together.

Chrishell then expressed her excitement to get the dogs home. She said that a Hollywood makeover awaits them both and that she was going to share before and after photos when they were done with the makeover.
