In February 2014, the Jason Taylor Foundation held a gala dinner and charity auction. The event was emceed by former NFL player Jason Taylor's younger sister, Joy Taylor. Also among the numerous guests in attendance was former MLB star Richard Giannotti.

Joy and Richard posed for photos, as did many others, and it was among the first few times the pair were seen together. It's unknown when their romance began, but they took it to the next level the following year.

Only a few traces of Joy (the co-host of "Speak") and Richard's relationship remain online. The former couple kept their relationship relatively private, but when they reached noteworthy milestones, friends and loved ones celebrated them.

In June 2015, one X (formerly Twitter) user gushed, "Sharing the joy...My boo Joy Taylor & [soon-to-be] Bro Richard [Giannotti's] Engagement photos doe!!! (sic)" The user linked a Facebook post; however, the content is no longer available.

That August, Richard joked about Joy always asking for a particular "ugly" breed of cats. "Every day @joytaylortalks asks for these ugly cats. I'm not a cat guy. I'm also not an alien guy either," he wrote. "Yasssssss," Joy responded in the comment section.

Though it remains unclear when Joy and Richard got together, Richard has been friends with his ex-wife's brother for some time — Jason has consistently appeared on Richard's socials. Later, in November 2015, he and Joy made another public appearance, likely their last as a couple, at an Audi Opening.

In February 2016, Richard sent a "big thanks" to Fulvio Sardelli, who hosted his and Joy's rehearsal dinner at the Sardelli Italian Steakhouse in Hollywood, Florida. A month later, they married at Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables.

Although neither Joy nor Richard shared (or kept) photos of each other from their wedding, a few depicting the festivities remain on Richard's Instagram. Under one post, one of the guests, Jenise Fernandez, wrote, "@_giannotti @joytaylortalks get married again! Best night ever."

Joy and Richard divorced in 2017. The reason for their split is unknown, but Joy moved on with NBA coach Earl Watson soon after. In a since-deleted Instagram post, the pair announced their engagement in 2018, though they haven't publicly spoken about their relationship since.

Richard also found new love with Kristen Giannotti. The couple tied the knot in 2021. Kristen has a social media presence like Richard; however, her IG profile is private. Her husband used to play for the MLB but is now a wealth adviser to athletes.

The Fort Lauderdale native played for the Los Angeles Angels, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He has also dabbled in acting, appearing in the HBO series, "Ballers," which starred Dwayne Johnson, John David Washington, and Jazmyn Simon.
