Dulé Hill Has a Son with Wife Jazmyn Simon & Adopted Her Teen Daughter - Meet His Family

"Psych" star Dulé Hill believed he would never become a dad after his first marriage ended in divorce, but he is now raising two children with his second wife, Jazmyn Simon.

Parenting comes in many forms, and Dulé Hill knows it firsthand. He was married to Canadian TV actress Nicole Lyn for almost a decade before parting ways in 2012.

DULÉ HILL AND JAZMYN SIMON'S COINCIDENTAL MEETING

Hill and Simon's love story is very similar to pretty much any other celebrity couple: they met on the set of "Ballers" in August 2016. However, their first meeting had a unique twist.

The "Locked Down" actress explained she was supposed to be in Miami only two days to shoot the "Ballers" pilot. Something happened with her scene, though, so she had to stay there for two weeks.

During lunch on one of those days, she saw Hill. They were alone at the same table, and she approached him shortly after recognizing him. They exchanged numbers, and "the rest is history."

Dulé Hill and Jazmyn Simon got engaged in April 2017 and tied the knot in April 2018. The couple posted a beautiful photo of the ceremony on social media shortly after saying, "I do."

Hill, wearing a classic black and white suit with a black bowtie, kissed Simon's forehead, who put on a stunning sleeveless, form-fitted wedding gown with a floor-length veil.

Hill and Simon's family began growing shortly after exchanging marital vows. In 2018, he adopted Kennedy, Simon's daughter from a previous relationship.

In January 2019, the couple announced on social media that Simon was expecting their first child together, a boy. They posted studio photos of Simon rocking a lacy white outfit that showed off some of her skin.

However, her growing baby bump stole the spotlight. One of the pics showed Hill resting his head on her lap, while another depicted the couple reading children's books.

Simon explained in the comments that although she was 21 weeks into the pregnancy, she had already thrown up 100 times. The actress kept posting videos and photos of her belly from Hawaii, where she was vacationing with her husband.

On May 10, 2019, Jazmyn Simon and Dulé Hill's son was born. The couple announced Levi Dulé Hill's birth through People in late May. They revealed he weighed seven pounds, ten ounces, and was 19-and-a-half inches long at birth.

The kid got a biblical name inspired by Hill and Simon's faith, and although the celebrity couple was "sleep-deprived," they were in love and grateful for their boy.

ADJUSTING TO HIS NEW LIFE

Over the years, Hill has shared details about his son and what he loves the most about parenting. The challenges of raising a teenager and a baby simultaneously have been a common topic of discussion.

The actor admitted that both kids had completely different needs – while Kennedy would wake up at noon, Levi would start his day at 7 a.m. Hill said it was vital to balance the time and know where they were needed to keep things under control.

Hill and Simon usually focus on the toddler the most during the day. Once he falls asleep, they try to do more mature things with Kennedy to make her feel part of the family. Simon added:

"Having a 14-year age gap has benefitted us in a lot of ways because [Kennedy] loves him so much, and she's like a mini mom for him."

When the couple is too busy, Kennedy steps in to play or feed Levi. Dulé Hill's son also has "an affinity" for tap dancing, and the "Psych" star cannot get enough of it.

Hill began his career as a dancer, so he bought a pair of Capezio shoes for the toddler to dance with him in the garage. "He definitely has rhythm," Hill proudly said.

Hill confessed that Levi was brilliant, inquisitive, and his best friend. Although he always wanted to have children, he thought parenting wouldn't be part of his life after his first marriage (to Canadian actress Nicole Lyn) fell apart.

Luckily, Jazmyn Simon came into his life. Dulé Hill is so grateful about meeting his wife and adoptive daughter and all the bliss they brought to his life that she called it a "double blessing." What a beautiful family!
