Shawn Johnson & Her Husband Showed Full Tour of New House Where They Live Following Loss of Baby 5 Years Earlier

Shawn Johnson and Andrew East tied the knot on April 16, 2016 in Tennessee. The couple first met in 2012 through Johnson's brother, Guy. Three years later, East proposed to Johnson at a Chicago Cubs game.

Since then, Johnson and East have welcomed three children together. Their daughter, Drew Hazel East, was born on October 29, 2019, and their eldest son, Jett James East, was born on July 19, 2021. The couple's youngest son, Barett "Bear" Madison East, was born on December 12, 2023.

Johnson and East had an emotional and challenging start when they began building their family. However, the Olympic gold medal gymnast was positive she had someone special to go on this journey with. She gushed about East when she was about to marry him, "I've found my guy. And he's my best friend, so making it official is exciting."

The couple's big day was organized by Sara Fried of Fête Nashville: Luxury Weddings and was held at a private farm, making it a relaxed and intimate affair just as Johnson wanted. An excited bride said everything was right about East.

Johnson didn't have to impress the former NFL player by showing off as an Olympic gymnast or celebrity girl. Instead, she admitted that she embraced her "weird" and "awkward" self, which made East love her more. "And it just became more and more comfortable," she added.

After their intimate wedding, Johnson and East started their life as a married couple. Johnson later found out she was pregnant and was surprised because they weren't trying for a baby. When she told her husband that they were going to have a baby, they were both emotional and teary as they embraced and kissed.

Unfortunately, a day after Johnson told East she was pregnant, she miscarried. The two shared a video on their YouTube channel, "The East Family. They noted how the gymnast started having stomach pains and was bleeding heavily, so they went to see a doctor, "We just got back from the doctor, and I'm no longer pregnant. Somehow, I lost the pregnancy already. It sucks. It's definitely no fun, guys."

The days after Johnson found out she was pregnant, told her husband about the pregnancy and miscarried ended up being the happiest, scariest, and saddest times of her life. The couple was sad, and they cried but were still optimistic about what the future held.

The future has been kind to Johnson and East as they are now parents to three kids. Johnson was excited to announce that she was pregnant with her third child, and the couple shared a cute family picture on Instagram when they welcomed their baby girl.

Following the birth of their youngest, Johnson is taking time to let her body recover but is glad to see how excited East and the older siblings are about the new addition. "Seeing them meet their newest sibling was the sweetest thing EVER," she confessed.

The gymnast and her husband are raising their kids in their home in Nashville, Tennessee. The two moved into their house in 2022. They first saw the house when they were driving by; a week later, they bought it, and a week after that, they moved in. After moving in, they gave a tour of their new home.

At the time of the house tour, they still had some things to do as they were missing curtains. Still, an excited Johnson announced, "Welcome! We can finally show you our new house."

As much as they moved quickly to this new place, the pair loved everything about the home. The house showcases elegance and comfort, with the entrance of the house leading to a formal dining room with a dark gray dining table, which is complimented by white dinner seats. The floor-to-ceiling windows give the dining room adequate light, with art on the wall and a plant enhancing the area.

Olympic rings on the dining room table give a subtle nod to Johnson's career, something that the pair love. After the dining room comes the wine and coffee room, which is the couple's favorite room. This room has high shelves stacked with whiskey, a black wine cabinet, and a block countertop hosting a coffee machine.

Johnson and East then showcased their immaculate baby-proofed kitchen, a sparkly space with white counter tables and chairs. A playful color coordination between black and brown gives the cabinets an intriguing look. The brown, white, and black blend well, making the kitchen look stunning. Johnson showed off her well-arranged drawer of spices, cooking and baking utensils, and other small appliances.

The kitchen leads to a breakfast area for both adults and kids. The adult and kids' breakfast areas have roundtables and pull-out chairs. The area, where the entire family has breakfast, looks incredibly cozy. This spectacular area leads into the living room.

The living room is donned with two large gray sofas, multiple ottomans, a fireplace, a wide low table, and extensive windows that let in adequate light. Gorgeous lamps, which do not work, have been used to decorate the space. The areaalso boasts high ceilings adorned with wood beams that let more light in.

Johnson and East also showcased the bathroom just after the living room, where most potty-training takes place. The bathroom is decorated with the family dog' Nash Man's painting. It also has bright lights and white marbled counters that make the place glow and look clean.

After this bathroom comes the kid's playroom, which is so colorful thanks to brightly-colored art, paints, and pictures on the wall. The room has a bookshelf and shelves loaded with play items. The lovely playroom has a door which opens up to a sunroom.

The sunroom is also like a TV-watching room, with a wide television, a cute white couch, a glass coffee table, and a whiskey bar designed with high seats, an elevated table counter, and black shelves with drinks.

Johnson also showed their home's outdoors. The patio has a wood-burning fireplace where the family can grill. It also has comfy sofas for one to relax outside and a pool that has been fenced around for protection due to the couple's young kids. The outdoors also has another sparkly clean pool bathroom and cabinets for storage.

The outdoor area extends to the driveway, where the family plays basketball and pickleball games, and a wide area to just relax, have fun, and take in nature. Johnson and East love their beautiful home, and they can't help but refer to almost every area as their favorite.

The loving couple were excited to move into this gorgeous home in 2022 and have now spent over a year in the place. Johnson and East moved in as a family of four but now get to enjoy their home with their new baby as a family of five.
