New 'Mary Poppins Returns' trailer is incredible in every way
Fans got to see what should be expected in the new “Mary Poppins” sequel dropped by Disney. The new movie entitled “Mary Poppins Returns” stars Emily Blunt as the world’s most famous nanny.
The original movie, which was released in 1964, featured the iconic Julie Andrews. Now, Blunt has the chance to take her own spin of things in the new film.
The movie has been highly anticipated and has been more than five decades in the making.
Fans get to see the next generation of the Banks family as Poppins comes back to change their lives following a terrible loss.

She comes back to Jane and Michael Banks, which are now played by Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw respectively, to help the family set their priorities straight after they have seemed to have lost their way.
The film is set in London, 25 years after the string of events in the original movie.

This time around, grown-up Jane fights for workers’ rights, while adult Michael is a widow and has been raising his children in his parent’s house on Cherry Tree Lane.
The trailer features the musical scenes that fans would be able to see when the film hits the big screen this year.
Much like the first movie, live action is mixed with animation for the sequel.
Apart from the mentioned character, the cast list also includes Lin-Manuel Miranda as Jack the lamplighter, Meryl Streep as Mary’s cousin Topsy, Colin Firth as Michael’s boss, and Angela Lansbury as the Balloon Woman.
“Mary Poppins Returns,” which is directed by Rob Marshall and written by David Magee, will hit the theaters on December 19, 2018.

In addition, 92-year-old Dick Van Dyke, who played Bert in the original movie, has a small role as shown in the new trailer.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly revealed that first Poppins star, Andrews, declined to make an appearance in the new movie.
