Chris Watts, 33, killed his wife, buried her in a grave, and then slaughter their two daughters, Bella, 4 years old and Celeste, 3, who he threw in an oil tank.

Nichol Kessinger was a woman who came up in the case, for being Watts's mistress. In an interview for the Denver Post, she confessed that they had two months of relationship; they met while working in the same place, for Anadarko Petroleum.

"It came to a point where he was telling me so many lies that I finally told him I did not want to talk to him again until they found his family," Nichol confessed.

SHE WAS ALSO DECEIVED BY HIM

According to Kessinger, the 33-year-old murderer had confessed to her that he was still married but was divorcing and that he had been separated from his wife for a long time.

When the disappearance of his wife and daughters sparkled, was the time she learned of his double life.

After the disappearance, he told her that his wife had taken his daughters. Although he looked sad, she added that he swore he would never hurt any of the girls. Kessinger decided to go to the sheriff's office and confess the whole relationship that bound her to him.

"I just wanted to help, with a pregnant woman and two missing children, I was going to do everything I could," she added.

The next day the bodies were found and Chris was arrested, he confessed that he had only killed his wife because she was torturing one of their daughters, but at the trial, he declared that he had killed the 3 of them.

"I do not think there's a logical explanation for what he did, it's a senseless act, and it's horrible," she concluded.

DEFENDING THE INDEFENSIBLE

Chris's parents went out to defend their son after what happened. They said that he was not a monster and that the relationship he had with his wife Shanann was very violent.

They also confess that Shanann caused his son to get away from them. They claim to believe fervently in their son's words that their daughters' mother was hurting them.

They also added that Chris possibly pleaded guilty because he did not want to harm his wife's family by confessing the truth.
