Von Abele, who was identified by the Columbia Spectator as a sophomore studying physics at the New York Ivy League institution, yelled racist remarks at his counterparts.

“We built the modern world,” he shouted, not minding that spectators were recording on their phones. When someone from the group asked him “Who?” von Abele replied, “Europeans!”

He continued:

“We invented science and industry and you want to tell us to stop because, ‘oh my God, we’re so bad.'”

Some of the other students gasp at von Abele’s inaccurate statements, but he is not deterred. He simply matches on with his tirade and even gesticulates wildly to buttress his racist rant.

“We saved billions of people from starvation. We built modern civilization,” he claimed. “We’re white men and we did everything. Look, I don’t hate other people, I just love white men.”

After the shocking encounter, von Abele allegedly followed the group of students to a nearby restaurant where he grabbed one of them and asked if Black women like to date White men.

Kwolanne Felix, a student of the university, told Columbia Spectator:

“I really hope that Columbia takes further action. They should definitely try to talk to the students that were affected by that and ensure everyone’s OK, because that’s really hard to internalize.”

The university condemned the incident in a statement and maintained that von Abele’s language goes against the school’s values.

The statement read:

“Statements of white racial superiority conflict with the University’s core value of inclusivity as well as the educational work and research that take place on our campuses.”

University Senator Alfredo Dominguez, also reportedly emailed campus officials and called for disciplinary actions to be taken against von Abele.

“You can have arguments all you want about free speech and people being entitled to say what they want,” he told the Press. “But when that bubbles [into] assaulting Black or Brown people with that and then stalking them … you’re getting into levels of hate crime and your speech being directly related to violence.”

The shocking video posted on Twitter has since amassed over two million views.

In related news, two high school students sparked outrage after their highly offensive Christmas song rendition went viral. They replaced the lyrics of “Jingle Bells” with racially insensitive words and sang it to the whole class.

“KKK, KKK let’s kill all the blacks, burn a cross on their front yard and hope they don’t come back,” read a snippet of their song. The incident went viral and the School District opened an investigation.
