Shemar Moore addresses engagement rumors
Shemar Moore is dismissing what many women considered a disturbing engagement rumor.
The "S.W.A.T" star took to his Instagram to share Christmas cheer. He also brought relief to female fans who had gotten a wrong message days earlier. The post is found below.
Rumors that Moore was engaged resulted from his own doing. It happened after the preview of an episode titled "Miracle" was released to viewers.

The teaser revealed that "one of [the team's] own" would be going down in an attempt to stop a drug cartel.
The darkness of the episode compelled Moore to do something to make fans laugh. However, it brought the opposite effect to many women.
The 48-year-old tasked his dogs Shug and Moe with an on-set proposal. With that, women all over Instagram expressed their dismay.
It was short-lived, however. In a video post of his Christmas decor, Moore cleared the air.
His caption read:
“I DID NOT GET ENGAGED!!!! It was a joke!!!!! Just Fun times on the set of SWAT during our Christmas Grab yesterday… our last day of shooting until Next Year 1/7…….. IT WAS A SILLY FUN JOKE!!!”
Moore's need to address the talk of being engaged was kind of his own fault. But it was all in good fun.
Another rumor the former "Criminal Minds" star recently spoke on was not by his own hands or mouth. For years, speculation about Moore being gay has circulated.
He spoke to BET about the matter:
"I just think it's all silly. If you're gay, you're gay. I'm not, and I know that, and I'm very comfortable with who I am and I love women."
He continued:
"I've dated plenty of them. If you think I'm gay, send your girlfriend over to my house for the weekend and see what happens. For real, you can call that arrogant if you want to. I just call it confident. You can call me whatever you want, but you don't know me."
Other challenges Moore has had to face included being bullied for his mixed race origin. He also handles that situation with grace.
He stated:
“You know, I don’t play the race card a lot. I’m half-black, half-white, and I’m proud of – my skin is brown. The world sees me as a black man, but my mother didn’t raise me as a black man. She didn’t raise me as a white guy.”
Of course, the hunky actor continually has to address various opinions about him as he continues to make female fans swoon. At least, for now, they can be grateful he is still on the market.
