When the reboot was canceled ABC created a spin-off called "The Conners.” Speaking to Seth Meyers on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” former co-star John Goodman, 66, revealed that the former "Roseanne" cast had "kept on truckin'" after Barr left.

Meyers questioned Goodman about how things were without the comedienne and his somber response was "It was really odd." On “Roseanne” the actor used to plays Barr's TV husband Dan Conner.

He confessed to the host, "We used to have a lot of fun on the show, and I really missed her this year." Goodman also mentioned the sacrifices that Barr made in order for the cast and crew to keep their jobs.

The actor shared:

“She gave up a lot so that we could do that show. She gave up all the rights to it so we didn't have to call ourselves the 'Monners,' or the 'Chonners,' or invent new characters. She'll always be missed.”

Barr used to have creative and financial rights and control over the original series. After the controversy hit she signed over her rights to producer Tom Werner and apologized for the incident.

Despite apologizing, Barr has kept the controversy of her tweet alive by making differing allegations and statements. One claim she has recently made was that ABC fired her because of anti-Semitism.
