Donald Trump bags Razzie's ' Worst Actor' nomination for appearing as himself

Donald Trump can now add Razzie nominee to his list of credentials. He was recently recognized by the award-giving body for his worst performance of himself in not just one but two films.

Coinciding with the release of this year’s Oscar nominations, the Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzie’s has released its nominees which include President Donald Trump.

The notorious award-giving body which recognizes the worst films and performances every year nominated Trump for worst actor in his portrayal of himself in the documentaries, “Death of a Nation” and “Fahrenheit 11/9.” He was also nominated for worst screen combo for portraying himself and "his self-perpetuating pettiness" in the two films.

Trump would be impressed to know he’ll be competing with A-list stars John Travolta for “Gotti,” Johnny Depp for “Sherlock Holmes,” Will Ferrell for “Holmes and Watson,” and Bruce Willis for “Death Wish.”

Also a nominee is Trump’s wife, Melania Trump in the worst supporting actress category for her appearance as herself in “Fahrenheit 11/9.” She is up against her co-star Kellyanne Conway who also portrays herself in “Fahrenheit 11/9,” Marcia Gay Harden in “Fifty Shades Freed,” “Kelly Preston” in “Gotti,” and Jaz Sinclair in “Slender Man.”

OSCAR NOMINEES

This year’s Razzies will be held on February 23, just a day before the Academy Awards. Speaking of which, the Oscars just released its nominees. Leading the nominations are the films “Roma” and “The Favourite” which tied with a total of 10 nominations each.

“Black Panther” will now be remembered in history as the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Picture. The Marvel film will be competing with “BlacKkKlansman,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Favourite,” “Green Book,” “Roma,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Vice” in the category.

Meanwhile, first-time nominees include Rami Malek as Best Actor for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and Lady Gaga as Best Actress for “A Star Is Born.” Ten others have also been honored with a nomination for the first time.

THE ACADEMY'S CONTROVERSIAL HOST

This year’s Academy Awards has been riddled with controversy after its intended host, Kevin Hart was accused of issuing homophobic tweets. Hart has since stepped down as host leaving the spot vacant. The latest reports suggest the awards show will go on without a host this year.
